We are in the Pineville tournment this year and play Pineville, Tioga, and Bolton. What can be expected from the teams in this area.  |

hey is that the JV tourney? Pineville will prolly show up strong, Bolton is either going to be pretty good or horrible. And i don't need to say nething about Tioga.

Shreve plays, Bolton, West Monroe, Comeaux. Supposedly schedules were sent to the schools on Wednesday. 16 Boys teams, 4 Brackets.

Neville plays Menard and Tioga on Friday, and Southwood on Saturday. Anybody have any scoop on any of these teams?

from what i have heard from pineville players tioga and menard will be decent. but southwood should be a pretty good match.

I would like to congratulate Captain Shreve on a huge tournament win and a big win against teams like Sulphur and Pineville. It's nice to see a "North LA" team win tournaments in the south, and I knew it would be a matter of time until it happend. So, congratulations and good luck this season.

I must have forgotten that Pineville is in "The South." Most of the teams that participate in the Pineville tournament are from the North. I'm sorry but most people include alexandria and surrounding areas with the North LA soccer programs.

Most of the teams were from Central and North Louisiana. Shreve played 2 teams from S. Louisiana, Comeaux (1-1) and Sulphur (3-1), during the tournament. It was a nice win for our team. My hat is off to the young men of the Pineville team. Our kids thought they had the tournament won after defeating Sulphur, but they were sorely mistaken. Pineville played with a lot of heart and gave our team all they could handle. We were lucky to win the match. It was a great start to the season and should give our young team something to build on as the year goes on. The true test for this team will be the Lake Charles Showcase tournament in a couple of weeks

Yes, that will be a true test. I don't think a team from the north has ever won that tournament, even when it was just the St. Louis Classic. Can Captain Shreve be the first? We will see.
