John Tilghman will be done after Tampa Sun Bowl with club soccer and join the school team. Bennett Montz will be done with surgery and join the team. Mandeville is strong now. Look out in the 2nd half of the season. It will help their depth. They have struggled with injuries.

If those two join, then Mandy adds two quality starters and they could be really tough the second half.

John and Bennett will fit right in and allow the 2 JV players who start to come off the bench. I'm predicting that one of the JV players, Jeremy will be the most valuable players in the district JV tournamet that is coming up.

First half of district play has ended with Mandeville and St Paul tied at 6-1 each. Northshore and Covington with 5-2 records. This district will have 4 quality teams in playoffs.
FHS next at 3-4 and Slidell at 2-5. The only question to be answered in second half is whether FHS can overtake Northshore.

Mandeville: on a mission. First, Northshore, Covington, St Pauls and Mandeville were all tied with one loss each. Mandeville played Northshore and gave them their second loss on Tuesday. Then there were three tied with one loss. Mandeville played Covington last night and gave them their second loss. Now, there are two - St Pauls and Mandeville, with one loss each. Next game - you got it: Mandeville and St Pauls to determine sole possession of first place. Mandeville lost to St Pauls in the first game of the season. They will be looking to redeem themselves and get revenge. Should be as good as the Covington match last night. Stay tuned....

Mandeville should also get Adam Cooper, the coaches son, and Stuart Adams; both have been injured. The sophmores will definitely have a tougher time getting as much playing time with Montz, Tilghman, Cooper and Adams back. However, the sophmores have done a great job so far and will still get in.

Other than the St. Paul tournament, I am not aware of other teams in the district playing. If your squad has a game scheduled, please post so I can update accordingly. Coach Inman

Coach Inman, I think you gave Ponchatoula an extra win.

They defeated Independence last week. I'm not sure what the score was but I know they were up 5-0 at one point when the JV players got alot of action. Ponchatoula's coach could have run it up but chose not to......good sportsmanship.

Coach Inman, I read that STA hung a 4-2 loss on Mandeville this week. They destroyed their midfield, which we will too when we play them again

With you at forward your midfield is lousy. Popeye said it on another post for STA and we saw it also. The backline kicks it over everybody and you run onto it and that is how your team scores. Our coach saw it and now Popeye saw it to.

Ya ok our midfield is lousy , yet we scored both goals from that game from midfielders. At times we dominated play with half of our JV in through the midfield. Apparently you haven't been watching any of our games because rarely do we play longball. Nobody on our team likes to lose, but nobody honestly cared about that game. We were all tired with several injuries from playing St. Paul's shorthanded. I'm glad STA thinks they are the best team in the state because they beat us in a meaningless game, but play us in a month when everyone is back - i'll be more motivated to score more than twice on your defense.
