Is it true that John Paul has come a long way this year and has a shot at beating STA for the district title.
In the covington tourney, they made it to the quarters down 5 starters in all 4 games. Tied Ponchatoula 0-0, lost to Central Lafourche 2-0, after shutting them down to 0-0 in the firt half and 20 minutes into the second, and playing Fontainebleau to a 2-1 loss in 2 OT's. I would like to know if some else knows anyhting bout them and if they have a shot this year?

I played for Fontainebleau and I must say Pope has to have improved a little bit. Last year we beat them 3-0 easily and the JV was in during the entire 2nd half. This year, I saw a much more physical and quicker team than last year. I also watched the game when they played CL and the score of 2-0 CL doesn't really show how the game was. CL completely dominated that game and missed numerous easy chances. Pope, however, played a tough defense making the goals by CL look very scrappy and not well-earned. Against us, as well, not only did we miss simple chances but our goals were very scrappy due to their tough defense, but if thats how you win so be it (they fouled a ton, I play center mid and must of been knocked down in the midfield about 20 times in the last 15 minutes). Pope has improved no question, but they aren't a team to look out for really.
