The NO shell shockers lost to Austin this saturday 2-1 in a game where they hit the post 2 times and miss alot of chances to score. Sunday the shockers won 2-0 to a good rival The Dallas, Spurs 2-0 scores from Stephen Pate from PK and Kenneth Viquez.

Some High School players are interested in the team. Thanks for the update, I saw where BJ Neilsen, and Will Wilson (both seniors next year) played in the 1st game. Did they make the trip, did they play and contribute??

Kenny Visquez played at Bonnabel this past season, and Stephen Pate formerly played for St Paul's.

Kenneth Viquez started against the Dallas, Spurs. He had a brake away and the defender took him down in the box of a PK in the minute 44th of the first quater, Stephen Pate took the PK. In the second quater Kenneth took a shot and slammed right across the goal outside the 18. It was a shame that kenny Farrel didn't put him in the starting lineup vs Austin and not even got him to dress up due to many international players. The 3 youngsters are doing well.
Viquez, playing up top, had some good moments in the 1st game, but he really shined in his start against Dallas, he drew a penalty late in the 1st half that Pate converted. He later scored a goal on a beautiful shot outside the 18, he had a couple of other opportunities, but was unlucky not to convert.
Neilsen started the 1st game and played well, he has come in as a 2nd half sub in the other games and held his own. All his time has been at a back central defender. Nothing fancy, but solid play.
Wilson has played in all 3 games as an outside midfielder. He has came in late in the 2nd half, and has given a spark to the team in all 3 games. Against Austin he played a great ball to Roberto N. in the closing minutes that would have tied the game but the goal was called back on a bogus offside. Against Dallas after receiving a great ball from Colin R. he beat a couple of defenders and played the ball to Jonas L. in front of the goal, but the keeper made a great save to deny Lopez the goal.
All 3 are contributing to the team's success.
The defense has been the strongsuit of the team so far, only giving up 2 goals in 3 games, and this has been against 3 of the strongest teams in the conference. They still have a chance to get into the US Open Cup, but they will have to beat a good Memphis team Saturday. Look for them to make a run at the conference championship as the season progresses.
Kenny has a lot of talent on the team; its going to be hard keeping everyone happy as far as playing time is concerned. Only 5 subs are allowed per game with no re-entry. It's a long season though, and a deep bench will help out in the long run.
If you have a chance come out Saturday, they are fun to watch.

In saturday's game kenney Farrel expect his team to win with old guys with experience his not really giving the young kids a chance to play, he needs to give more playing time to the young kids...........this is what i think

Look at the USL website, Neilson made Team of the Week for his play against Nashville! Congrats. We are tied for division lead with Nashville, the team we beat 2-0.
Any news about the Lafayette Outlaws team?
Where is Dwayne this summer?

it was not a dive, it was a good clear talckle and the defender was smart because he was the last man
