This should be a very interesting tournament. I was just wondering you'll predictions on this tournament. They have some VERY top notch teams in this tournament. I do not see lafayette or acadiana. Which leaves #5 Rummel,#4 CL, and #1 Jesuit who all beat vandy. Brother Martin who also beat CL 3-4 with CL not capatalizing on alot of opportunities. CL has also improved. Brother Martin is not in the tournament though.

You also have #10 St. Pauls who i think is 7-4 who are very dangerous. Mandeville and Covington who played a 0-0 game with Mandeville winning with PKs. Both teams received votes in the last coaches poll.

Vandy who is #1 in district II will also be strong, but are inexperienced..

This should be a VERY exciting tournament to watch with some great head turning upsets.

I think both St. P and Rummel will advance with 2 wins an a tie. St.P ties CL and Rummel ties Covington. Should be a good tourney.

I think this tournament format is set up so much better than the showcase. There are so many matches played in such a short period of time in the showcase that the championship matches are nothing more than a bunch of sluggish players moving around the field. They should also go to a 3 day format like the St. Paul's tourny. I think it would be a much better gauge of a true champion. Not taking anything away from any of the teams that won it. I just think the championship games would be much better on a seperate day. Teams have already played 3 matches by semi's and four by finals. That's way to many, IMHO.

Group C looks to be the toughest group. All 4 have a chance to break braket. Holy Cross, Hahnville and De La Salle will be overmatched. Best bracket game will be St Paul v. Central Lafouche on Sunday. Rummel/Covington could also be good. Last year 2 teams from smaller schools, Ben Franklin and Vandebilt played in the championship game.
