Dude, Loyola is going to kill Neville. I say they win 4-0 or 5-0. I scored on them and I'm not very good. lol. So i mean, they should have no problem putting this one away. The black defender is really aggressive so just make sure you keep your distance if you don't want your feet stepped on or getting jumped on. He's a big guy. Should be no problem to outrun him and put one in the net.

Neville is pretty strong but loyola should win. I would predict 3-0 or 2-0 loyola. Neville really only has one standout player. And Casey should easily stop him.

Scarpache......only in your wildest dreams, or with one heck of a miracle could Neville possibly beat Loyola. Maybe with last year's team. Neville is just not up to par, unless something drastic happens.

Loyola 6 Neville 0. Neville lost a majority of their players this past year. In the previous two meetings this year, Loyola has won 2-0 and 6-0. With regulation time, who knows how far Loyola could run up the score...

The score was 2-1 in favor of Loyola. It was a very good game, both teams had opportunities to score more than 2-1. Both teams played with respect and sportsmanship.... Something you dont see in many games..

the game was a very hard faught game with alot of intensity, and both pks were clearly fouls. both teams missed their chances to put the ball in the back of the net. the refs did a good job keeping the game undercontrol or else it oculd have been a brawl, but that just puts more pressure on the next game. you also forget that neville has 3 players out, and one for the season. so it will be a good match the next time they play.

I guess oldmanrip didnt watch the game at all. You said Nevilles PK was an obvious foul...well, according to the ref, it wasn't even a contact foul that got the PK Awarded. Apparently it was a handball out at the 18, which is why a PK was awarded. Neville had maybe 1 chance to score, and that one big chance, the Neville player was offsides, so the goal didn't count. The game, however, was very intense and well-fought by both teams. Neville's fans, however, have got to be soem of the worst in the state. The whole neville team and fans were the most unsportsman-like I have ever see, and I am sure any team who has played at Neville will agree.

i jsut have to say that i am truly proud of the loyola boys- they really stepped up and played together as a team- their season so far they have been struggling to com together- but it really seemed like they pulled it together last night--- and on the reffing-- it was TERRIBLE.. some of the calls were good, but the refs act like they have never played the game before.. its called ADVANTAGE! dont stop the game unless the fouled team loses the ball!

To No, and soccergirl, All I hear is how the reff was bad and the calls were terrible. I agree the calls were very knit picky, but none the less they were correct for the most part. As to your comment about the reffs having never played, I am pretty sure on of them played college soccer. Thats what I was told anyway, by a parent for Neville or maybe it was loyolla. anyway The PKs called were easy calls to make. They were fouls simple as that, any reff would have made those calls in the box, I am sorry unless your blind you can't miss the fouls or infraction that occcured. I would say that I think this game was reffered very tight because the Ref didn't want it to get out of hand. To soccergirl, you obviously have no idea what advantage is nor have you probably ever refferred a game. Advantage, does not mean you got fouled and retained the ball, no, advantage means you may have had an infraction against you, that you managed to aviod while clearly showing a goal scoring opportunity, advantage is not going to be called at the midfield or even the first third of the field from midfield, its more than likely to be called within 30 yard of the goal where a player clearly has advantage on his or her way to the goal. Now a referre may choose to allow a play to continue to after an infraction in order to see if the player is going retain control of the possession. Thats what you call play on, which means you saw the foul but the reff allowed you to continue because of whatever reason. Say you retained the ball. Both of the post both No and Soccergirl, are whats wrong with the players and coaches and parents, lack of knowlege and understanding of laws of the game and you always complain, and never no anything about it, you think you can do a better job, then go out and refferre, I bet you find out how hard it is. as a former refferre and player I know how hard it is, i have seen both sides. I watch this game last night and while i agree there were some very knitpicky calls, for the most part the game was under control and was clean.

The game was well played, hard fought game, with some chances by both teams. Loyola did however control the time of possession though, but Nevile found holes in their defense from time to time.

well i must say that although you may not agree on the fact that the reffing in shreveport is not good, the newspaper wrote about it!! it looks like me and NO arent the only people who have noticed bad refs out there! they don't always make terrible calls, but most games there are 2 or 3 calls where both teams are just saying 'what?! are you kidding?'
