This was a great game! Played mainly in the middle of the field for most of the game, the doves had an edge in the second half on possession. Only 1 goal in the game, at about 20 minutes in, the doves put an awesome shot from the middle of the field about 20 yards right under the top of the goal. Excellent officiating, excellent play by both sides. Dutchtown's defense held the doves to making long range shots, most easily handled by the keeper, while dutchtown struggled to get to the doves goalie. Dutchtown's goalie Frager had 2 great saves, and Dutchtowns defense stopped several breakaways. The doves have a great team, and will probably take it all. Congratulations to St. Scolastica.

Surprising score, either Dutchtown is much better than their 10th rank or SSA is suspect?

my bet is on dtown being better. Last year lost to dominican 1-0, sort of a trend. St. Scholastica is a great team.

Great job Lady Griffs. The goal actually came with less than a minute left in the first half. The first half was pretty even with both teams having chances. Coach Vyas made some half time adjustments and the Lady Griffs put a lot of pressure on the Doves early on in the second half. SSA gathered themselves and contolled the the midfield there after. With about five minutes left the Lady Griffs stepped up the pressure again and had several chances. At the final whistle the both teams went spent and you could see that both teams left it all on the field. GREAT season Lady Griffs!! Good Luck to the Doves.
