Coaches how can you pass up E.A. after losing to McK. 2-1 in a game where Dynks had 18 saves to 4 by EA, and the total dismantling of Lee 10-2. The loss to Lee just after winning the Capital City Classic over D-town with both teams wore down to survival of the fittest or maybe luckest. For tourny's wear down the best teams and playing Lee just after this was more to Lee's favor than a epidemic of Chickenpox.

you have got to be kidding me... ohh ya, its logical to move up a #11 team who just beat a #3 team one spot. how in gods name did these coaches come up with a Div. III standing like this. they kept u-high above ehs, which actually is slighty understandable, but they just moved ehs up to #10. well theres another meeting between the two and ehs will just have to prove again how good they are. (i swear this is really familiar...ohh ya LSU and UGA)

Guy how bout you just chill out and play the game. Theses polls are opininons and thats it. The only poll that should give a team any type of satisfaction is the post-season poll. After the playoffs. Untill then you should be worried about how to make your team better. Its just opinions and everyone has theres.

It is interesting to see the week to week changes in this poll. Several weeks ago Brother Martin loses a game and I believe ties another in the week between polls and moves down only 1 spot. This past week Catholic High losses a game on a PK with 3 starters not playing and a few other starters limited with injuries and drops to 5 spots (despite head to head wins over the #1 and 4 teams in the polls). St. Amant only has two losses on the year and beat the #3 team at the time and only gets 1 vote. (Admittedly they may not have played enough out of Baton Rouge competition to get recognition or to adequately judge how good they may be) I realize some of the best teams are in districts 3,9 and 5 so the polls may be correct, (it is hard to penalize a team if their only losses are to the best teams). However, I wonder how much of this is based on the fact that only 6 coaches vote and from where these coaches may reside.(do they keep up with all the games or is it based on what they see and reputation) Either way it is good to have a second poll now so as to get additional views, especially on the various areas of the state.

I could not agree with that more. To some degree the polls are biased. Catholic obviously proved how good they are in the tournaments they have attended. St Amant also proved how good they are by beating Catholic and Baton Rouge. Although i think we may not deserve to be top 6 or 7, we should break top ten and Catholic should still be top 5.

It also matters who you lose to. Brother Martin tied St. Paul and lost to Lafayette in that week. Catholic lost to St. Amant.
Not saying that St. Amant is a bad team, I am sure they are decent, but they are unproven. It's ok tho, like you said it all comes down to playoffs. If you win district, you prob. meet Acadiana or Carencro in the second round. If you get 2nd in district, you prob get St. Paul's in the second round, then Jesuit in the quarter. You beat them, and then you are definitely top 10.

Guys what some of you guys have no idea about is consistency. Who cares if someone loses one game.Teams have bad days just like they have good ones. And really dont get bent out of shape if your not in first. Instaed of moaning play soccer and beat everyone and win the stat title. Then you can gripe if your not in first.

(i swear this is really familiar...ohh ya LSU and UGA) ehs got by with a victory with 2 shots on goal. Not very strong defensive effort by uhs if thats how its gonna go down. ehs' defense performed well but they can attribute a victory, for the most part, to a 40 yard wide field. they packed in the defense and provided no room for uhs to possess the ball as they normally do on teams that they beat. on the lsu women's field, a much more spacious site, ehs won't be able to keep up with uhs. gonna be an exciting game.
