I think all are very deserving on this list and of course congratulations is in order.
But to stir the pot, I don't know where I'd fit him in or whose place he would take, but I think Alex Kjellsten is one that I would want in my starting XI. If Solari doesn't have amazing game in state final, Kjellsten gets MVP and other accolades follow (IMO).
Another attacking player that was very difficult to contain was Mason Cook (Fwd, Northlake Christian). I didn't see him on all-state lists, but he is definitely in the top tier of players (IMO). He was injured the second time we played NLC (wonder if he was healthy in post season or if that impacted voting?).
Any other players you would put in your starting XI?
Just to clarify: I'm not asking for you to tell me who's NOT deserving, just any player(s) you would just have to have in your starting XI (and hopefully you can include why).

I hope all those that made the LAprepXI teams and are getting mentioned as quality players are trying out for the LSA's U23 State Team. Tryouts are almost here. All players ages 16-23 are eligible for the team. The first tryout for the Louisiana Men's Under 23 team will be on April 6 at Tad Gormley Stadium in New Orleans. All players must register in advance of the tryouts at www.gotsport.com/asp/application/reg/?ProgramID=18516. Additional information will be posted shortly both here and on the LSA website. The men's Under-23 team will first compete at regionals in Montgomery, Alabama June 21-23. Regional winners will compete at nationals in San Antonio July 19-21. laprepsoccer.proboards.com/thread/17393/louisiana-23-mens-team-2013

I would've liked to have seen Kenny Chism from Captain Shreve make the list. While Shreve lacked the necessary depth to make a deep run, Kenny was our true #10....figuratively and literally. I've seen the vast majority of the top players in this state play either hs or club. (Admittedly mostly club) But Kenny has all the tools of a creative, attacking midfielder. Excellent first touch, highly technical in general. Excellent passer of the ball. Great soccer IQ. (How do I know?...he just didn't turn the ball over!) Truly gifted 1v1 attacker. While not a big player physically, he has the quickness, acceleration and skill to cause havoc inside the 18. Think Iniesta, Ribery, etc.

Roman Spicer at BRHS is a strong physical Center Mid. He distributes well and controls the flow of the game well. It took a team effort for BRHS to win Dist 5 this season, but Spicer is a key cog in that machine. Without him their midfield control is a bit more of a challenge.
Catholic BR's Betts and Poche are also a potent pair I'd want in my starting XI. Betts is a strong defender or midfielder and Poche finishes and moves off the ball as well as anyone in the BR area.
