Does anyone know what time Airline and West Monroe play today? Does Sulphur have chance to get a home game depending on the outcome?

Thanks 1Sucky. Maybe someone from up there will respond. Congratulations on a great game last night. You'll be tough to beat if you play with the same intensity from here on out.

If Airline wins tonight, how will they determine who the home team will be vs. Sulphur... both of them traveled on their first game and both of them are wildcards...?

Just got word that Airline won in a shootout. No other details. Looks like we will be travelling back to Independence Stadium on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Don't want to look past Airline but If we have to play Lafayette I'd rather have them at our house. Any thoughts on the Sulphur-Airline game?

West Monroe got the scoring going late in the first half. A wild shot was deflected for a corner. The corner rolled through the box to a man at the back post and he buried it. The Rebels scored again early second half after a misplay by the Airline defense and a miscommuniction with the keeper allowed the West Monroe forward to pounce on it. The game went seriously in Airline's favor after this. A long ball out of the back was played on a one touch to the player at the back post who easily beat the keeper. Less than 3 minutes later, the Vikings tied it on a beautiful header off a 35 yard free kick. The game remained tied and went to PKs. Airline's keeper saved the first one, and their last shooter missed, so it was tied 4-4 after 5 shooters. Airline sixth buried it in the upper corner, and West Monro's player missed the goal completely. The game, however, was not as close as the score would indicate. The shots were 35-4 in favor of Airline. The possession was 75-25 in favor of Airline. Two goals were called back, maybe they were offside, maybe not. And the cards were well in favor of West Monroe, 7 yellows and 2 reds to 1 yellow. It was like watching a bunch of thugs play soccer, worse than Evangel. WM played long ball when they did have it, and went after ankles, shins, knees, and whatever else they could hit when they weren't in possession of the ball. It was a shameful display of soccer. I would, however, like to commend the officiating crew for a very well called game. Despite the cards, and the physical play, it the officials kept control of the match and did not let things get out of hand. The players were the ones that failed to adjust. The match with Sulfur will prove to be more intruging than most people thing. If Airline can recover physically quick enough, they will be able to run with Sulfur. And if Sulfur is focusing too much on their next round opponent, Lafayette, they could get stunned. Should be a good game, I'm looking forwad to it.

Sulphur is not the type of team to look past any opponent at this point.

i find it funny how a game that went through 4 over time periods and tied 4 goals a peice out of 5 players and the other team will say west monroe is a bunch of football players and that we cant play real soccer... if that is true then why was it so hard to win that game...it was a physical game and i ref that didnt want to see someone go down there were legal trips and legal shoulders to the ball that were called. the game wasnt as one sided as you say...yes west monroe played long ball AFTER we were up by 2 goals...but we arent real soccer players?.??.? I cant stand people who wine and cry about getting hit legal or not.
Airline pulled it out so good luck! Airline 1 Sulfur 9

If I'm not mistaken, Lafayette still has to play HLB before they play the Sulphur/Airline winner. I don't think you should look past anyone in the playoffs.

I agree. Man this is the playoffs! If you haven't kicked your play up a few notches you shouldn't be here and won't be for very long.
