I have 2 pair of both Nike Vapors & Adidas Predator. I like the predator over the vapors. I say the vapors isn't good for shooting, but the vapors are nice.
[it isn't the kicks, it is the skills that make you look like pros]
My choice for practice kicks is the Puma King All Around [turf]. Turfs don't kick ur ankles at the end of practice. Good for stepping and ball movement.

Predators won't improve your game. That's got to be a joke. No cleat is worth 200$. You'd have to be stupid to spend that much (unless of course if you are rich, then i guess it really doesn't matter).
You can find some really really good quality cleats in the 70 - 110$ range.
I used to wear copas, but they are just so uncomfortable and heavy, and overpriced. The The black lottos with the green lotto sign and tongue are really good cleats. The diadora brazil are good cleats as well if you take care of them.

It may not improve your game, but it improves mine. Again, I gave you those reasons. But again, look at the pros, and see for yourself which shoe they choose the most. You have your opinion, I have mine, and the choice of shoe of professional players is the predator.
The predators rubber plates do allow for more swerve and control of the ball. If you contend this, then show me. Otherwise, I will assume you are speculating. Now, will it make you run a 4.0 40 time, will it make you jump 12 feet high? No. Of course not. We are not talking about a large magnitude of effect. But one who has a pair will almost always tell you that the predator shoe gives a small advantage to your game. Whether if that is placebo effect as someone hypothesized or a true difference is subject to experimental anylsis. After doing my own anaylysis, I will tell you that there is a noticeable difference. And that is all that really matters to me.

Twerk just take a shower with them and take them off afterwards... Put them by the fan for the night and they should be dry in the morning

Did you not read what Timmy said? The pros use these cleats because they are given to them. If they were spending their own money, i'm sure their choice would be different. Predators are great if you want to curve a ball around a wall, but still, you have to actually have enough skill to do that with a regular cleat. Of course they give you more control, but not an overwhelming amount. It all comes down to how good a player is. The cleats won't give you more control. Practicing with the cleats and working on what you need to work on will improve your game, as will with any other cleat. It all depends on what your needs are.

I think the predators are a highly over rated cleat. If some of you of claim they improve your game might go and try and do those techniques w/out the cleats, i guarentee you could do it just as easy w/out the predators. just laziness

The pros are not given cleats such as you can have these, wear them. The pros are signed to a contract with a company for endorsement and then they can choose any cleat they want from that a companies product line. But most of the pros are not endorsed by a company so they choose whatever cleat they feel is best for them. The point about needing the skill to curve is true. But once you have that skill, this is where you will see the difference with the predators. Not only can you get more dip and bend to the ball, you can also directionally bend the ball with more accuracy. I've experienced this enough to know this to be true. Again, if you are weak footed then you probably should go for the cleat that has the most comfort, but as far as ball striking, give me the predators any day of the week. As far as cost, I find it irrelevant to the topic. The topic is not the cheapest or most expensive cleat. And as for those who feel it is overated, I don't care. I know what is best for me, and I also see what the pros wear. And that remark about that the pros are given the shoes, well if they are given shoes, then all they have to do is pick one shoe to wear. They are not concerned with cost, all they want is performance, and more often than not, they choose the predator. That can be empiracally verified by watching a professional game on TV. Give that a try.

We watch a lot of soccer at our house and the predators are not that common unless you watch German soccer. I see more diadora, lotto, and nike. The pros are payed to wear a certain shoe to help sell that product. Just look in your Eurosport magizine and see all the pros promoting a certain shoe and also pictures of them wearing them in games. Predators are like wearing weights around your ankles they are one of the heaviest shoe on the market.

I disagree. The big name players get the endorsement deals, but this is a small percentage of the players. I will agree that in certain regions of the world you will see different ratios of certain cleats. But look at europe, the predator is seen more than any other cleat. They are prevalent not just in Germany, but all over the world. As for being heavy, you are crazy. They are not heavy at all. Wear what you like. It matters little to me. But face up to the fact that more pros wear the predator because they CHOOSE to wear that cleat. They are not mandated to wear any style of cleat. If they are endorsing a cleat, then they are mandated to wear that brand of cleat. So if all of the Addidas endorsed players can choose any Addidas style of cleat, then why do 8 out of 10 choose the predator?

i have tried many cleats from air zoom for $ from a nike outlet, some predators, lotto shevas, jomas europas, and then some umbro blowouts....air zooms are light and the side lacing helps, they also last a while....predators didnt last too long for me but they were worth it....shevas didnt impress me....jomas were too heavy for me and didnt last long.... so far i am in love w/ my umbros, kangaroo leather 9.8 ounces and are so comfortable....just to say!

i wore predators a couple years back and they are decent cleats but theyre very over priced now. i am currently in the kelme master blacks for $120. thats a nice price for a cleat that has the swerve control of predators and kangaroo leather. also its important to condition your kang. leather. lasts longer and seals seams.

cleats are cleats....i dont know why yall spend so much money on them. as long as they are comfortable then they are good. when i buy cleats if they are a good price (never over $100) and they fit and are comfortable than i buy them. spending $200 on cleats is ridicules!

i have a $30 pair of cleats and they work fine for me, and they have lasted longer than other, more expensive pairs that i have had. so everyone that spends $200 on cleats is spending $170 too much.
