well it looks like dist. 3 has three teams in the quarters. that means at least one dist.3 team will be in the semi's, (the winner of the sulphur-lafayette game). does this prove that dist. 3 is one of the top dist. in the state? i think so what are your thoughts on ranking dist.
i think dist. 9 and 3 are the top 2.

Division I has 3 really good districts.....they are District 3, Dsitrict 9, and District 5.
I think right now, District 3 is the strongest. They have 4 top 10 teams and eventhought the bottom group doesn't do well in district, they are usually do well outside the district. I think district 9 is too small to say they are the strongest. Jesuit, Rummel, and BM are top teams, but after that, Shaw and HC are pretty far back. District 5 is a solid district. They always have a team that will make it far in playoffs and every now and then they will have a team win state, but for the most part, they usually lose out to district 3 or district 9 in the playoffs....however, this year could be different.

district 5 has a lot of good teams this year. st pauls is playing very well right now. if covington did not get screwed over and have to forfit every game, i'm sure they would have done well in the playoffs also. if you go by the numbers, dist. 3 would be the best, with 3 teams in the quarters, followed by 9 and 5 with 2 each. dist 6 has 1 team.

Has anyone else noticed that Sulphur is the only No.4 seed to get to the quarterfinals? There aren't even any No.3's. Before you go saying anything about weak opponents there isn't one team in the final eight that hasn't had a blowout game except for St.Paul's. Not sure what I'm trying to say here, I just thought it was interesting.

I think that speaks volumes about district 3. That the third and fourth place team from that district can realistically compete for the state title. Lafayette was the 3 seed from D3 last year and made it to the finals. Rummel was the three in D9 and made it to the semis last year and Mandy was the three in D5 and made it to the quarters. All really good districts.

Hey McSruff, I'm fairly new to this forum and this may already be obvious somewhere. Do you have a "home team"? Where does your heart lie? Just curious.

Goat knows me better than I know myself. Yes, I will be at the game for sure. I wouldn't miss it for the world. I know Sulphur will be fired up for it. I am sure it is going to be a great game. Good luck, Sulphur...but not too much luck.

Hey shinguard, I try to stay incognito at games. I don't want to attract attention away from the actual game...and then I get stuck signing autographs for hours. It just never ends. ;D
