Haven't seen Vandy play this season, but I know how good the Beau Chene team that they beat in the semis were. BC easily handled St. Thomas More in district play this season. Having watched the BF vs STM semi match, I thought STM was the better team technically, but BF played to their strength and won 2 balls in the air that ended up in the STM goal. I like Vandy in this one, but sports is frequently about match ups. Vandy better be able to win/clear balls in the air bc if they don't BF is likely to make them pay.
I think this game is determined by the keepers. BF freshman keeper on a terror in playoffs. Vandy Sr keeper looked pretty unflappable in what I saw of that semi. Whoever shows up in top form on Thurs carries their team to victory.
For reporters at the game, to help make our pick-em competition run smoothly, please not the minute of when goals are scored as well as halftime score. Also, make mention of any cards issued. It will help later when I'm trying to determine points. Thanks!

I am sure that both teams will be ready tonight. Good luck tonight to our district rivals, Vandy, our good friends on the field and in the stands. Not only do they have one of the best goalies in the state, but they have a sophomore class to watch. They are a team with a lot of talented young players, as well as a strong bunch of upperclassmen. After what Ben Franklin has done this year with few returning starters, they also deserve to be in this championship game. It will be a great game.
