Question: why are they going to Wichita?

New Orleans teams are 2-0 so far in the finals. Will be interesting to see if King can complete the sweep. Even though they are technically in Metairie.....BUT close enough!

The D2 and D3 finals were both 1 goal differentials. Going back to 2003, the majority of D1 finals were 1 goal differentials with a couple of 2 goal differentials mixed in. History dictates that whoever wins will win by 2 goals or less.

Not afraid to admit that I am riding the GK band wagon. Hopefully we all witness a great game tonight. Regardless of the outcome, both teams should be proud of their accomplishments this season.

I see this game going two ways. Way 1: St. Paul's 5-0 Way 2: Grace King in pks IMO, St. Paul's is too strong for King. Don't get me wrong all you King bandwagon fans. I'm a product of a Jefferson Parish public school, so i'm always rooting for a JP public school to shine. But I just don't see this as a good match up for King. But you never know, nobody thought East Jeff would beat Karr in the Dome, but we clawed our way to victory. Warrior Pride! Luckily for all you 4A private/catholic schools y'all were placed in the kiddies bracket Ditto

I think if St. Paul's plays their best game they will win, but that's not a guarantee. All the pressure is on the Wolves, while King can just relax and enjoy the moment.
King will have a chance if they can defend like they did against Brother Martin and limit Cam Robinson's effectiveness, and if the St. Paul's defense plays an overly high line or loses track of Nestor Peralta for even a few seconds, the Irish are good enough to make them pay. Acadiana made that mistake and the Irish put three on them in a hurry.
For what it's worth, I predicted a 2-0 St. Paul's win, with the Wolves being up 1-0 at halftime, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if King wins this one either. They are a very talented team peaking at the right time. It should be a great game.

Good luck to St. Paul's & Grace King! I've been looking forward to this game, hopefully it's a good game. Only thing I have to look forward to today. I wouldn't mind it going to PKs just to make the game that much more emotional.

Good luck to both teams but I will always pull for public school teams.

"La Radio Tropical", 1540 AM was just giving away tickets for the final tonight! Grace King has really motivated the Hispanic community down here in Jefferson Parish. They were also featured in the Spanish newspaper TodoSport, it's fantastic!

So far, we have a 5 seed and an 8 seed winning the other divisions. I think St. Paul's bucks the trend of the high seed losing and pulls this one out by two goals.
Interesting that, on the girl's side, every final was a No. 1 vs No. 2 seed. There appears to be much more parity among the Top 8-10 seeds in the boy's soccer.

Anyone want to guess the attendance tonight? Will parades and kids off for break keep the crowd down? Kickoff temp should be around 60 so no weather issues. The SSA lead-in will keep fans from Covington around. If attendance is below 5,000 the finals should move to Pan-American which is a superior soccer venue.

Cheering for the cinderella, especially after them pulling off a successful knock of BrM...but after seeing that game in particular, I'm not confident. Maybe, if it goes into PKs? In all reality though, STP's held Jesuit to practically no real opportunities in the 2nd half after going up 2-0. Had the Jays put 1 of the few chances they had in the 1st half away it may have been a different story, but that's all speculation that amounts to nothing at this point. Unless Grace King digs REALLY deep and gets a score in regulation, 1st half, I don't see this ending any other way than a STP's victory. If the wolves get going fast I'm predicting something like a 3-0 win, but I'm hoping for the glorious upset, or at the very least a competitive match.

Any news on the GK keeper? Is he planning on playing?
Any notable injuries on St. Paul's side?
It'll be interesting to see how big of a turnout. St. Paul's, my guess, will bring 1500. If I had to guess for GK, 1500. So significantly less than in the last three years. Hope I'm wrong. And hope someone gets some good pics of the crowd so we can compare to previous years.
