I wasn't planning on posting on this topic, but since gator mom revived it I'll give my opinion.
I absolutely agree with Frank the Tank.

hdkiga brings up a good point about shootouts. the man i want in a shootout is YANDLE from acadiana, i think mcsruff would agree that when he is in his right mind set he is the best in a shootout. and he is also a great shooter in a shootout as well.

ugh, don't even mention Yandle as a shooter. That December game is still painful for me. I really do still cry myself to sleep over that darn game.
It is the great debate...to Yandle or not to Yandle, that is the question. I have been really impressed with Nick's ability to keep his cool the last couple of years. Also, I think he is one of those people who performs best when the pressure is up and the blood is boiling. I would definitely take him in a shootout.

I would definitely have to say that #2 for Alexandria Senior High should be on this all-star team. He has to be one of the biggest, fastest athletes in Louisiana, and his footskills and dribbling are comparable to most anyone in the state. Definitely the person that stood out in the ASH STM game.

Best goalkeeper in shootouts, or one of them would definitely have to be the Fontainebleau goalkeeper. When we played them i think we only made one pk in the whole game and that was during regulation, not in the shootout. Also if were moving on to field players, I have a few to name that stood out to me during the season. Greer from Slidell, Jesuit's #10, JW and JK from St. Pauls, Will Wilson from CL, Gino Ray from Salmen, Kyle Sun from Northshore, Nick Mcdonald, Tyler Cochran for Mandeville as of Seniors that stood out, as for underclassmen that stood out I would have to say Ford from Slidell, Tyler ?? from Northshore, most of the Mandeville field players but most notably the two Drorys.

like i was telling Footy on the pemier page.. Ford is a great player so SCARE the keeper.. now dont get me wrong.. hes a great player with great speed.. but i played aginst his a few times and he misses many of the basic easy shots.. he can beat you wit speed but i havnt seen him do it to much with fake moves.. and i dont know bout now but in pemeir he didnt pass the ball

our coach fixed that by playing on teh wing, and he started to have to use many fakes and quick turns, he's actually turned into a much much better player

this thread began as one for all-stars, and has degenerated into a keeper controversy. let's see some thoughts on other people. by the way, #2 for ASH is Charles Walton, who was a great player this year, though he played second fiddle to #4, Lewis Lauve, who set a new ASH scoring record. I guess STM shut him down. ASH suffers from playing in a weak district, and annually getting stuck w/STM in the playoffs. They crushed Pineville 3x this year, and Pineville gets a better draw. Who'd a thunk it? Anyway, let's see some opinions on the best players at other positions.

I like footy365's list, but I would definitely add the Judice's from Covington. Tony is a really good player.

Oh i had forgotten about him, totally forgot about Covington, both the Judices should definately be on the list. They're both Seniors right or is Tony a Junior.

Ill add another player to my list, Tyler Frost from Northshore, no matter what he did the rest of the season (he did quite well from what i heard but still) i was at the abramson game and abramson or not that goal that hit the underside of the crossbar off the free kick was teh absolute best goal ive seen all season, there are others tht mya rival the Jesuit kid directly off a corner vs. slidell, that still gives me nightmares i was on the bench and i ermember thinking the game was over and nothing was going to go right and of course it didn't, and that Will wilson goal vs. Jesuit but i still don't think they measure up.

yeah I agree #2 from Ash is a great player, his dribbling skills and footspeed is better than #4, but #4 is the leading scorer, but #2 can have easily been the leader scorer.
