i have seen three really good keepers this year other than acadiana's,(nick yandle). i think these four are amoung the top in the state. nick yandle- acadiana the keeper from barb- i think his name is gardner the keeper from baton rouge- i think his name is keller the keeper from cath. baton rouge, i can't remember his name
all four are very talented and should be listed in the top ten. who else should be there?

Up north, the three best keepers are Jeremy Wimer, Ben Martin and Chris Beason.
Jeremy is the backbone of Shreve's team, and still has another year to go. Ben proved himself against CL, and made some amazing saves this season. Beason is only a sophmore, and keeps getting better every year.

cap shreve's keeper is the only one thats really impressed me so far. which team's keepers have you saw... I think that a keeper can be just as good as another one but not be able to show it because of a great defense... Kinda hard to credit a keeper when it has a great defense infront of it also

exactly..LHS has a great keeper by the name of Carlos Thompson....he is real good but his D is solid so therefore he doesn't get many shots taken on him but when he does he comes up big most of the time.

hey yeah1426 los is a very good keeper, but i think he is a better field player than a keeper. he is not built like most keepers. i think he has done a great job for the lions but i think he is probably the third best keeper in the dist. i think you are right about one thing, his diffense and midfield is so good he doesn't have to make a lot of great saves.

He's good (maybe one of the best), but he gets the attention because shreve's defense was sub-par.

Question for J-Bird. Whose defense is sub par? Two teams both 13-1 in district. Team A (Shreve) gives up 2 goals in 14 games. Team B (Magnet) gives up 5 goals in 14 games. Sounds to me like they are both pretty good defenses.

yea but but competition wasn't as hard as district 3. Almost any keeper there would have done the same.

Who is the best keeper in a game can be different from who the best keeper in a shoot-out. Any nominations on what keeper you would like to have in a shoot-out.
Goat I know you probally have a good-take on this one.

I would pick Michael Keller from Baton Rouge for a shootout. He has amazing reflexes.

Jeremy Wimer deserves all the credit he gets i would say he and Michael Keller are the best keepers in the state.

I saw Keller play in the Baton Rouge vs Catholic Br game a couple weeks ago, and I was impressed with his reflexes. He is good when it comes to making quick saves, but he didn't seem very smart when it came to other things, such as break aways, or coming out to clear the ball.

I have to agree with you drew.......Jeremy is the best. I'd put him up against anybody in a shootout.
