STM - about five hundred shots, oppurtunities and corner kicks - 1 goal ASH - three or four solid oppurtunities - 0 goals STM wins 1-0 Great great game, goal was scored on a corner kick in the 13th or 14th minute.... nail biter till the end... stm mainly controlled the possession however the ball did end up being kicked around a lot from both sides... STM capitilized on their set pieces and that makes the difference in games when it comes to playoffs. Goal scored by Micah Lanier. Good effort from the 10 starters from Alexandria, they showed a lot of heart and determination. I commend them on that. Same to the three STM starters... it was obvious that none of the thirteen seniors on the field at the start of the game wanted this one to be their last.... Congratulations and good luck

Also I think you have to give credit to ASH's keeper considering STM's "five hundred" shots on goal. The ball didn't see too much of STM's half so there was a lot of pressure in the box and a lot of good saves.

oh i definitely agree with you on that one... their keeper did a hell of a job. The score of that game could have easily been A LOT different had their keeper not had such a great performance... and yes, there was a lot of defense on ASH's side of the field... good solid defense - only allowed one of the many attempts to go into the net
