We are considering ordering some new kits soon, and as this is my first year on the coaching staff at St. Michael's, I have obviously never been involved in designing uniforms before. Although I already have an idea of how I would like the uniforms to look, I haven't found any websites that truly allow me to customize the designs to the level I want. Most of them just force you to order a generic kit and the ones that do allow you to customize are very simplistic.
I am looking for professional-grade, fully customizable kits. Any help from you coaches that could point me in the right direction would be appreciated, particularly from those of you who have ordered new kits very recently, like Lutcher.
I would prefer to design Adidas kits if possible, as those would work best with the designs I have come up with.

Grab a bag of Haynes under shirts and a sharpie. Save you about $1500

Haha. That's true. Acadiana pulled those off well in the playoffs.

I'll see if I can find out where those (the Lutcher unis) were ordered from. Word to the wise though - I'm pretty sure those were ordered prior to the season and not received until the last playoff game. So buyer beware.

Custom uniforms look great and help team morale. HOWEVER... what happens in year-2 after - three seniors decide to keep their uniforms, - two jerseys and three shorts are torn up from slide tackles and opponents grabbing, - nine socks are lost to "sock heaven," and - a group of talent freshmen cause the coach to decide to add four players to the varsity roster? You will find that getting replacements and additional uniforms can be pretty difficult. I recommend sticking with something basic, customize with patches and numbers so you can replace and add uniforms. We had very good service online from BuySoccerUniforms.com. If you order early they offer a lot of customization. We also have been more than pleased with Joma as a manufacturer. We ordered our first home and away uniforms from them in 2009. Five years later those uniforms still looked new and fresh.

Thanks for the suggestion, Boomer.
Longevity should always be the most important aspect of a new kit. If we're going to shell out a lot of money, we want something that will last at least five seasons. As for the replacements, we're going to go ahead and order 35 kits, and the largest team we've ever had was about 30, so that shouldn't be a problem. We are very strict about the players turning in their bags and kits at the end of the season. If they lose something, they can't receive their letter jacket patches until they find them or pay for replacements. Luckily, this hasn't happened yet.
Sometimes getting a jersey dirty and scuffed up in unavoidable. I can remember my sophomore year I played in a JV game against Lutcher where the field was muddy and soaked. I somehow went the whole match without getting my jersey dirty or even wet, despite playing in about 90% of the match. Then on the way back to the car after the game I was thinking about how I wouldn't have to wash my jersey, when I slipped in a giant mud puddle and got the entire back of the jersey dirty... My mom was not happy about that.

Grab a bag of Haynes under shirts and a sharpie. Save you about $1500 Heck, if Haynes started making those fancy shirt like American Eagle and Aeropostle and similar shirt companies, then Haynes High School would have ready made shirts. They'd just need to apply the numbers.

I have actually pulled off the Sharpie white T-shirts in a U13 League Game last year because my uniforms weren't in. And made my U18s travel to the Flora-Bama showcase in White T's as well, I think they are coming into style.
