As I recall in that loss by Jesuit, the game was played at Acadiana. It was definitely an exciting game. The stadium announcer got so worked up when Acadiana scored that he accidently knocked himself off the air. In his excitement he pulled the microphone cord out of the wall. Remember that ? ? ? yea our announcer gets pretty worked up sometimes! he had to go to scoreboard school before the staff at acadiana would let him use the equipment again.

I'm picking Acadiana in an upset. It'll be tough having to travel for a Friday night game. When will the team be able to leave school? Will they get an early start allowing them some down time before the game? The fatigue factor could come into play. But, having seen Jesuit 3 times this year, they are not the same team as in the past and Acadiana seems to be peaking at the right time. This will set up a Rummel-Acadiana finals in a week!

the team is leaving at 10:30 so they should have plenty of down time for the game.

Agreed, Jesuits been inconsistent all year, you never know who's going to show up and after the CL game i believe that acadiana is going to book themselves a spot in the finals, they're peeking at the right time.

I too hope that Acadiana defeats Jesuit. There are plenty of reasons...one of the biggest is that I want their coach to get a chance at a state championship. With all of the time he has given to the game and to the children of Lafayette, I want him to win one.

I can't predict a winner. I can honestly see both teams winning this game.....I will chicken out and say what I said before....shootout.
I think Acadiana is on a major winning streak, but this is the test. BRHS wasn't that good of a team, neither was Northshore. Acadiana stepped up and won a hard fought game against Catholic BR, but that was at home. Now the rams are playing a top 5 team for the first time since the last Lafayette game. I am hoping AHS pulls it out, because I am hoping for an all district 3 final. However, Jesuit hasn't lost a playoff game at Tad Gormley ever. They are perfect in the playoffs at that stadium and have beaten some of the best over there. Acadiana has the potential and the ability. Hopefully they will win. Good luck AHS......you will need all that you can get.

Well, streaks were made to be broken (Jesuit's home winning streak). Good Luck Rams.
I do disagree that Acadiana is playing the best soccer in the state right now. None of the remaining teams have lost in the last three weeks. Rummel finished the regular season by beating Brother Martin to clinch district, Jesuit thumped Shaw, Lafayette thumped Westgate and Acadiana thumped Carencro. And, all three have posted impressive victories in the playoffs. I don't see how you can single Acadiana out from the rest. I don't believe Rummel has lost since the first Jesuit game. Lafayette has only lost once since before Christmas and Jesuit only has three losses all year. Acadiana is playing very well right now, but so are the other three teams.

Parades? What parades? I thought they were closing all of those streets for semifinal game traffic.
