first congratulations jesuit. you played a great game and continue to prove what a good team and soccer program you are.
the rams came out strong and had several good chances in the first half. leblanc had two nice headers that went just,(and i mean by inches), over the net. we also had another chance at a goal but our striker slipped and missed the chance. for the first 20 min. acadiana really took it to jesuit and then the tide started to change the second 20 min. of the 1st half jesuit had better chances than acadiana but neither team was able to find the net. 1st half 0-0.
the second half saw a back and forth match that had a lot of action for both teams. jesuit put their first goal in when a jesuit player made a nice cross into the box. a ram defender headed the ball out, but right to an unmarked jesuit player who made a nice shot for a goal. the rams did put pressure on jesuit as the game went on but were caught by a counter attack late in the second half and jesuit found the net again, (with about 3 min left).
it was a great game and the rams showed a lot of class as they never gave up. at this time i would like to thank all the ram supporters, parents, coaches, and most of all the players for makeing this such a great season. i also want to say to all the seniors, jason stinson, josh goodwin, colby neal, jared hofland, corey arceneaux, nick yandle, nick mouton, josh hefner, and last but not least my son blake yount, thanks for the memories! your attitude, work ethics, and leadership will be missed. to all the other rams good luck next year.
and as most of the lafayette area people have figured out my name is floyd yount and i am the proud announcer for the ACADIANA WRECKIN RAMS!!
