i wana say that the vandy franlkin game was one of the best games anyone could have seen this year and probaly one of the best championship games ever, it was high flying and hard fought.... excellent jobs by both teams... i wish i could have seen the jesuit v. laf. game

I didn't think the game was a well played game. A lot of kicking the ball down the field on first touches by both teams. Both teams had their oppurtunities to hold the ball and possession, but went for the all out long pass right away, or poorly passed it to another player.

I don't think Lafayette over Jesuit was an upset. Lafayette was ranked #1 going into the playoffs and Jesuit was #4.

i agree hdkiga i don't think it was an upset either. lafayette was dist. champ of a very tough dist. jesuit was the runner up of their very tough dist. lafayette was ranked higher in the polls so the upset (in my mind) would have been if jesuit won. a very mild upset but still an upset.
one more thing lafayette beat rummel in the semi's they were the dist. champs over jesuit so there was no upset last night.

Absolutely no upset! Having seen Rummel play both teams this season I called for Lafayette to win over a week ago. I don't even think Jesuit is the second best team in Div. I even though they were in the finals. I thought that Lafayette would score more. Perhaps the only mild upset about the game was that Lafayette shut out the Jays. I felt that the Jays would score, but lose 2-1.

Absolutely NOT an upset. Lafayette was ranked #1 most of the year. They were ranked #1 at the end of the year. Lafayette won the toughest (in my opinion) district in the state. They beat the #1 team in district 9 (Rummell) in the semi's. Those were two very good teams that played last night. The team that had the best season and deserved to be ranked #1 won the match. No upset at all.

Lafayette beating Jesuitwas a bit of a surprise to me but I would have to say that Franklin beating Vandy takes the cake. I thought franklin would put up a good fight but I didnt think they would pull it off. They suprised me and definatly gained my respect because vandy is a good team.

I think this vote also depends on if you saw the 2 teams play this year. I had seen both Lafayette and Jesuit play this year and it wasn't a shock. I saw Vandy play and I saw Dutchtown. When I heard how bad BF beat Dutchtown, I called them to win state so I am not surprised at either really.

the reason i am viewing these as upsets is because both the losing teams were two time defending champions... and im not sure about lafayette, but noone thought ben franklin would be where they were in the begging of the season(after graduating 8 starting seniors, 12 in total)...
