Is that the actual list?
Is there a limit to the number of players that make all-metro?

That is the actual list. They try to keep it to 15 but three players tied for the 14th spot and they decided to keep all three.

just looking at the metro team, it looks pretty good... what happened to dtown's sweeper? he seemed like the best defender out of baton rouge, and maybe one of the best in the state... who actually votes on these poles jus to be curious?

All the coaches that choose to attend the meeting vote on the players. You always will have some players that should have been there but just didn't get the vote for whatever reason. It is done pretty fair but it is not perfect.

The sweeper for Dutchtown was nominated. He just didn't receive enough votes to be one of the top 16. You have to remember that there are around 16 teams that make up the Metro area and there were probably 40 or more kids that were nominated of which only 16 were chosen. Its a tough list to make. The other part that is a shame is that with only 16 kids being chosen the coaches sometimes focus on most of the more offensive players because when you're limited to a low number of selections that's usually where the "better" players play. I can only see one defender on the list that isn't a goal keeper and that was Bonin from STA and he was their District Def. MVP.

There were 9 forwards, 9 midfielders, 11 defenders, and 4 goalkeepers nominated. That looks pretty even.
But remember, there are 22 teams represented. That is for instance 22 possible goalkeepers. So to just be nominated is an honor.
