I have been very curious this year as to why the board gets very little involvement from people in New Orleans. I know some people post on NOLA, but it seems like the same ten people have the same juvenile arguments on that site every day. lasocrfan knows soccer and really supports Rummel and I want to know why other fans in New Orleans don't get involved like he has. It seems that NOLA is really the only area of the state that isn't very well represented on this board.
Maybe New Orleans is too cool to chat on a message board with a bunch of backwoods hicks. j/k.

I've been wondering the same thing. I use to frequent the NOLA site - but got tired of the crap that's posted there. Seems like it is for the pre-adolescent, teeny-bopper crowd. Also, many of the posts on NOLA are so inaccuirate one ever knows what to believe.
I would love to see more participation from the N.O. area on this board.
One reason I became so active on this site is that it seemed for awhile all I read about on this board was about Lafayette area soccer and district 3. I wanted others to know that soccer is played in N.O. and the northshore. I do know that lots from this area read the posts on this site, but for whatever reason, don't take the time themselves to get involved.

Well, thanks for getting involved. People will speak of what they know and it is good to have a nice sampling of people from all over the state participate.
A lot of times people would get mad because all of the posts were Lafayette or district three. For example, I think that there was a post about the best sophomores or something. All of the D3 people chimed in and people got mad because no one was talking about players from their particular areas. But, I don't know enough about the sophomores in NOLA or Shreve to post intelligently about them. The same way that you probably don't know all that much about 10th graders from Lafayette. I mean, anyone is welcome to chime in about their team or area players anytime they want. Then we are all more knowledgeable about the entire state and we all know who to look for at tournaments or in the playoffs. Anyway...what were we talking about? Is it time to go home yet?

It's probably because not many people in district 6 have access to computers with the Internet. ;D

It's probably because not many people in district 6 have access to computers with the Internet. ;D very true... they stuck down the bayou in the mud in their shrimp boats... i am goin to be hated for that one!! Which reminds me of the South Lafourche/Central Lafourche game... person was wearing jogging pants under his shorts!! i dunno how he managed... How about you'll send us some of the good money so we can actually have a computer much less the internet... one that dont take 5 minutes to load word pad

When LAprepsoccer first started, how did everyone find out about it to start posting? Must have taken a while to catch on huh?

Several times while on NOLA I saw other posts referring to this board and posting the address of this site. Evidently people from N.O. know about the site and do read it - there just aren't many who choose to take the time to post. Hopefully as more people learn of it, participation on this board from the N.O. area will increase.
