D-IV Archbishop Hannan defeats Metairie Park Country Day 3-1 at Hannan Field in Covington.
Very physical game, both teams played hard. Hannan goalie deserves MVP.
Ref's were horrible. Lost control of the game and very inconsistent. Not saying CD got robbed, but I feel sorry for any team that gets these clowns.

Hannan vs Country Day game was well officiated. I've seen games were control was lost and this was not one of them. Many whistles for fouls and only card was given to Country Day. I thought the result in this match was fair. The better team won the game and the refs did a great job. Not to take anything away from Country Day! They played hard all game but Hannan carved out more chances and finished better. Just my 2 cents worth a Penney.

D2 West Ouachita 0 @ Parkway 2
Very physical game CR let a lot of pushing holding and shoving with not many whisles. Even let a WO player yell at him without so much as a caution. Did not affect the outcome as possession was fairly even with parkway having many more looks at goal, WO keeper made many good saves. Parkway keeper had only one real shot, which went off the side pole, all other shots were shots from distance requiring little effort to catch.

DIII @ Loyola 1 St. Louis 0 Good physical game from both teams. First 10 minutes St. Louis pressured and had the better run of play. After that spell Loyola started to settle down and started creating chances. St. Louis keeper made some good saves and was solid all game. Keeper received a yellow for a challenge outside of the box on striker and was last defender on a clear breakaway. Goal came in 2nd half with about 15 left in the game on a low driven cross to the near post that was finished first time. Overall Loyola had more possession and chances but St. Louis played tough defense and should be proud of how they played. Coaches, players, and parents acted like they should and everyone enjoyed a good hard fought game.

DIII #6 ED White 3 @ #3 University lab 1
University came out which appeared to be a little over confident and tried to play over the top --not connecting passes. ED white kept trapping them, ED white never backed down and played with a purpose and gave 100%. Half time score was 1-0 with score by #19 of ED white just over keeper. ED white gains plenty momentum when ED whites #10 puts a corner kick over keeper into backside netting for a unassisted goal. # 19 scores goal 3 on a 1v1 to beat keeper to push ball in the net. With the score 3-0 , EDW relaxed a little and university bagan to press and scored to make the score 3-1. University continued to try and get back in it. ED white hung on and regained their composure to finish with the 3-1 win.
Great Sunday game ( sure beats a rain forecasted Monday game) , good crowd, some great goals and overall good competitive game.
