Acadiana 5-0.....19/3.....diff = 16 Carencro 4-2.....20/10.....diff = 10 Lafayette 3-2.....18/7.....diff = 11 Comeaux 3-2.....7/5.....diff = 2 Westgate 3-2.....6/9.....diff = -3 NISH 2-3.....3/8.....diff = -5 Sulphur 1-4.....4/13.....diff = -9 Barbe 0-6.....4/23.....diff = -19
W-L.....Goals for/goals against.....goal differential
Right now it looks like the placings are Acadiana, Cro, Lafayette, and Como in the top 4 that order. I think Comeaux is on a down slide, but will still get in at the #4 spot at the end of the season. Cro is good, but not good enough to take down AHS or LHS. The difference between LHS and AHS is defense. When Lafayette lost Judice at sweeper, they lost the senior leadership in the defense. Lafayette's defense has now been suspect for the last few games, becasue they don't mark well and they have no direction back there. Acadiana on the other hand has Credeur, who in my mind is the best defender in the state. No defender is as good in the back and the front as he is. Finally, Acadiana has LeBlanc running in the middle, up top, everywhere. Right now from what I have seen, he is the best player in the state. I admit I have not seen Rummel, BM, nor Vandy play and they all usually have some really good players, but no player I have seen can change a game like LeBlanc. He is dominant up top and I haven't seen a team stop him yet. Acadiana's only loss was to Comeaux 4-3 and he had two goals and was the only major offensive threat in the game. Against Lafayette, he scores the game winner in OT. He and Credeur are why Acadiana is as good as they are right now. Wilks is good, but he isn't the game breaker that these two are in their respective positions. The only downside to Acadiana, is that they will probably meet Jesuit in the quarters if they win the district.

NISH won 1-1 in 4-3 shootout. I couldn't make the game but I beleive my son told me (I was asleep when he got home) that Barbe scored on a PK. Afraid thats all I remember about the conversation.
