So who is David and who is Goliath again? Should be a fun game. A shame everyone is playing Saturday. đ St Paulâs second string JV team probably has more club players than St Amantâs starting lineup. I think St Amant has more grit and can match or better St Paul on athleticism, I think St Amant has a solid chance to win but they are definitely David.

St. Amant has 2 or possibly 3 that might start for St. Paul. Itâs an epic journey for the Gators to the semi Finals and even more epic if they move beyond. Itâs an expectation for St. Paul and as soon as this season ends theyâll be picked to do it again next year. The journey is one thatâs taken St. Amant 29 years to achieve. Put that into perspective and think about this team that has done more than arguably three of the greatest players to ever come from Louisiana. Jason Garey was a Gator, Briggs Bougeouis, Jackson, Angelo, Hector And many others. This is not St. Amantâs best team ever by individual players. Itâs just the first one to say Iâll fight you for the entire game. Weâve got a collective GPA north of 3.5. A valvictorian possibly a second. Weâve got some rare atheletes. We are what we are and I love and know every single one of them. Theyâre not going to give up and theyâve got a top 3 coach in the state. Win or lose theyâre special and theyâll try like hell to win. I will say the same prayer that I always say before the game. âLord let each player do his personal best in victory or defeat. Allow each team to walk away injury free and may we all glorify your nameâ Amen!

Be cool if Sta could take the game to overtime.
Moser wins best dressed on sidelines. Martha's Vineyard deck shoes > Adidas sambas

That is a crazy thought because St. Amant is so dang good from top to bottom. Pretty much a complete unit. Best of luck to St. Amant tomorrow night. Enjoy the ride fellas! gallstar, make sure you enjoy it yourself as well!

Be cool if Sta could take the game to overtime. Moser wins best dressed on sidelines. Martha's Vineyard deck shoes > Adidas sambas I laughed vs Northshore. I watched the whole game wondering which coach was Moser. Waraz points out the guy behind the bench in Jeans and a white shirt. I told Waraz heâs my new favorite. His post on this site make me chuckle a lot. He told our Coach During the game while weâre up by 1 with 10 minutes to play in the quarters two years ago, âhey! You think that you guys are finally going to do itâ? Heâs an old school guy that just moves along to the beat of his own drum. I can and will always appreciate that quality in a human. Having rich parents and tons of talent can be a huge challenge to manage. He does it flawlessly. Just imagine some of the contrast between the obvious and reality. Being great is harder than average regardless what horse youâre riding.

Does St Paulâs field meet the dimensions criteria?

I don't know Coach Adrian off the field bc of our significant differences in age, dress, height, and age and dress but for the last 10 years he's been my choice for coach of the year. Our only similarity, besides living where it floods, is that he gets the best out of his players.

Some interesting posts. Iâm sure lots of respect from both sides. You donât get to the semis without being a very talented, well coached team. Only seen St Pauls once this year and weâve seen St Amant several times. Different styles of play, but overall should be a fairly evenly matched game. Playing away from The Pit will certainly be a disadvantage for the Gators, who feed off the energy of their fans. St Amant is blessed with some very athletic kids who can play with anyone in this state and who have tasted success against the club teams from the Mandeville-Covington area. St Pauls has probably continued to get stronger since we played them earlier in the season. Very athletic, technical team who believes they should win every game they play.
I canât overstate this last part. If every kid on the field doesnât truly believe that theyâre the better team and should win, it has an impact in their energy level and aggressiveness. I think we saw that in DTownâs game with Jesuit. DTown had every opportunity to win, especially after going up 2-0, but it seemed like some of the kids weâre not convinced and were just waiting for Jesuit to respond....which they did.
Enough about that. St Amant has every right to be in this game. Just like St Pauls, theyâve earned it thru playing solid, hard nosed, never quit, well coached soccer. I believe in the Gators. I want the kids to truly believe as well....not just words, but a true belief....that even if you go down a goal or two, you can battle back and overcome adversity. Both coaches will undoubtedly have their players ready to go. Being from the BR area, weâll be in the stands pulling for the Gators. Please believe in yourselves. Absolutely no disrespect to St Pauls, but watch out if a couple of breaks go in the Gatorsâ favor. If they get early momentum and with that confidence, itâs gonna be an epic battle!

Coach moser is said to have a plethora of state title trophies. Hereâs a recent interview I found of him while riding a horse of all things. I believe this was on Latelevision:

Well: all Iâm doing is jumping rope to some old rocky videos! Baby Gallstar is superfired up. Itâs 11:15 and heâs still sleeping. To be that care free is what I want just once. Kid doesnât think about nothing until itâs sitting right in front of him. This will be my final post until 4:00 when I arrive at the Chimes for pregame fun and weâve all seen it here before but itâs time for the gators to shake and bake!

Although I prefer live soccer it would be awesome if more schools adopted St Amantâs game streaming. This is going to be a game to see

Gallstar, enjoy your pregaming at The Chimes in Covington, but I must warn you... be wary of the bartenders and waitstaff. All those rich SPS parents hire them to work their private parties, events, and a few work on their personal yachts on their off days. Donât mention you are with St Amant and they wonât know. If they offer you some Boudin balls, DO NOT ACCEPT! Just trust me on this one. The referees that allowed Mandeville to upset SPS on their home turf a few years back still wear disguises when eating at The Chimes. One last thing, donât use the valet service offered, park your own car. The valets are just parents trying to get their children into SPS and will do anything to impress coach Moser and Trevor.
Enjoy Covington!

My family in Texas would love nothing more than to see their grandsons and nephews play tonight but sadly Northshore doesnât have anything like duckroost. They are doing things right over there!

Iâve seen it in person and itâs literally gallstarâs phone on a cam cord type thing with someone moving it rather easily. Even has a charger plugged up to the phone the entire time on a portable charger which is connected to the cam cord. Very easy to set up and operate.
