If we are being honest with ourselves by truly shunning politics and selecting the best players in the state, we should replace Boldenow Dupre Davis and Broussard with Shepherd, Waterhouse, Young, and Sigur.
Beyond HS performance each of these girls have produced at an elite club level vs the original selections.
Unfortunately most of the coaches voting have minimal experience beyond Presidents Cup to have an informed opinion on true talent.

Without really knowing the players you are referencing, it makes ZERO difference what they do in club soccer. This is a HS award.

I’m sorry but I think it’s extremely poor form to point our players that should not be on the list. It’s different to point out players that you feel should be on list but when you start pointing out those that you feel shouldn’t be there, it comes across badly. Kinda like blaming a ref for a loss.

If you want to bring up club soccer, do you know where all of those players are playing club soccer? Just because someone goes to a particular school does not mean that they play club soccer for the club in that area. One player on your list to replace travels regularly to play club soccer at a high level.

I’m still trying to understand how a player makes All-state and All-metro but is not on an all district team

I’m still trying to understand how a player makes All-state and All-metro but is not on an all district team It's not difficult to connect the political dots on some of those. It's ridiculous but no one will remember who made or didn't make these lists in the not so distant future.

If anyone still thought coaches should have input in playoff seedings, this clearly puts the issue to rest. And yes it is very easy to connect the dots. I'll vote for your player if you vote for mine... Running up the score to pad stats and in some cases flat out bogus stats. Louisiana soccer at its finest.
