is it just me or has there been an exponential increase in the amount of trash talking that has occurred on this board this season. can the moderators do something about deleting some of this garbage? i am sure that i am not the only one who is getting tired of reading it. one of the reasons this board has been so great in the past is because, unlike the board at nola.com, the people on this board were typically 'above' trash talking. remember, everyone has an opinion, and more than likely, everyone will not agree with you. But, to constantly reply to posts that differ from your opinion is just plain childish and isn't really necessary. please, go to the nola board if this is the type of interaction you are looking for.

The trash talking on this board has decreased substantially over the past 2 years. I've been here since the board started and I remember what is was like when nobody had to have a registered nickname and could post under whatever name they liked. The moderators have done a great job on eliminating mindless posts (except for mine that have been deleted ;D ) . Really, I don't see where you are coming from. Trash talk is in good fun sometimes. It does make the board interesting. I haven't seen too much mindless trashtalk this year though.

The only posts I will delete are those that contain profane and/or obscene language, and those that in my opinion go overboard attacking a person. As far as the trash talking, it is the kids doing it. I don't see anything wrong with it as long as it is clean. Some are fun to read, some are stupid. There is no law against stupidity however, so as long as it is clean, let the kids have their say about their friends and schools.
