i have to pick us (ASH) but it's not looking too good. There's potential to go far from what I have heard and seen about some other teams, but who knows. Probably Vandy though,

After having played STM and Vandy, I really do think that STM is the better team.

STM has had a rough road of late, but I think it will pay dividends later this year. First they had three starters in football for a month. They have a new coach who is trying to fit the players into a new system. They outplayed Jesuit, altho the score this weekend didn't reflect it (2-3). When they start scoring I think it will get scary. Most of their loses have come from teams ranked in the top five of both div I and II. They also have a very strong freshman class this year and they are trying to see where these kids fit. By year end they should have it together. G.L.

While I don't care much about DII, I believe in the obligation of a new thread starter. Any biased list (which this is) shouldn't disguise an objective one. I urge bigpezie to edit the original list.

Vandy just plays at such a high speed and all of their players are very good on the ball. They are just too skilled for the rest of their division. I would even venture to say that they are 3rd or better in all of the divisions

I was just being facetious because I think that the poll was a little biased, Dutchtown should have been included, as well as Salmen, and Bishop Sullivan, and the others ranked, so I was just saying that you should have had a category labeled "other" , that's all!

racinbudds, i was at the stm jesuit game and i agree with you that the score didn't reflect how the game was played however i thought jesuit outplayed stm. stm played with a flatback four which i must say needs work i thought it had to many gaps in it, i think the flatback four system works if it is played right, i also think they have two forwards that work really hard #21 and #8, i think are the numbers. they have good speed and play with all they have. having said that i think jesuit played much better, there passes were crisp and they had many opportunities. i thought stm was having to play defense most of the game. i think stm is a good team and they deserve a number 2 ranking in d2. i just don't think they played as good as you think they did.

xpress23 I wasn' trying to say we were better than they. I was comparing that game with the one we played earlier with them at STM. They beat us 4-0. We didn't play well and it showed. Since Jesuit is number one in DI, I think comparing your play with them is Important. You hear about teams who beat so and so then lost to so and so. I like to compare our performances with the best. That's all. Good luck and thanks for the post.

I'll agree with Ghandi on this. After seeing Lafayette play STM, then play Vandy I have to say I was much more impressed by STM's performance. It might be because they are in-town rivals, but STM seemed like a better team after watching these two perform against Lafayette.
