2nd Half started with more open play, but NHS stepped it up another level and put the game away about 5 minutes into the half.
On another note, Shreve had a player go down with an injury. Hope she is okay.

I hate to see Shreve's season end on a note like this but what can you expect when you play a juggernaut like Northshore. Shreve is a solid team which played some very tight games against local powerhouses Byrd and Loyola this season. They'll be back strong next season.

No one will beat Northshore.

What did time of possession look like? Rough estimate I would say NHS 80-85% possession. Could be a little higher or lower though.

Some would say possession is overrated. I had a friendly conversation about this recently. I said possession was integral to a successful game plan, creating opportunities, scoring opportunities. Several disagreed. I’d say this game supports BROALIE. Opinions vary. Great season Shreve, nice job NHS! #stillonthatperch

Aren’t you the one that said he’d take the possession winner over the actual winner in that same conversation?? I think so.

I would say the Capt Shreve goalie was amazing. The game was played entirely on her half of the field and would've been over much sooner if she hadn't been on spot. The girl was like an octopus because she played like she had 8 arms.

3-0 NHS 3 minutes left. The NHS throw-ins are more dangerous than their corners. It shulda be 6-0 at least. I never seen this team before. Safe travels back to Arkansas? nancy is not one of ours.

The girl was like an octopus because she played like she had 8 arms. This statement is highly accurate. If not for the play of the Captain Schreve keeper, the game may have ended much earlier. Her outstanding play in key moments kept the Captain Schreve team in the game through most of the first half. The NHS attack was unrelenting, yet she continued to make save after save until late into the first half.

When you practice and play on a ping pong table the throw ins are a huge advantage. So much for the beauty of the game. I bet the baseball field has 60ft bases and 250ft fences in the power alleys. Basketball court 9ft rims? Jeez!!

Basketball court 9ft rims? Jeez! Agreed. A large percentage of that team is made up of the ol' Pearl River kickball team that had some success in LSA. The narrow field plays right into their style of play: Physical and D-I-R-E-C-T. What's the term out of state recruiters call it, " Country Soccer"? Not beautiful, but effective in LA HS soccer.

I don’t need to pat myself on the back, because you just did it for me. Like I stated in a previous post, I’ll take the team with dominant TOP. In this case the possession winner WAS the game winner. Do I need to find a Premiere League game stats to post for you to understand? I think so...

There are a few players on this team that won the Region III Championship 2 years ago. Just so you know.

But if not, at least more time of possession! 😎

I would hope that you would not have to resort to The Big Throw against a #16 seed versus a school that begins with Cap’n. A #1 always Mercy’s the teenaged seed. Lot’s of peacocking going on for a win that was easy chalk. D1 #1 seed curse is real. Only two #1’s since 2009 have sealed the deal. Try not to spit the bit.
