It will be close, really depends on if all the games scheduled are played Monday. Having played both STM is the stronger team, but Lakeshore isn’t that far behind them. The quarterfinal drive home from either place won’t be a happy one. Better the devil you know than one you don't.... I'd still rather take our chances a little further down the road. Good luck at Neville. Thats a winnable game for the stangs. Thanks, but I’m not sure 4-6 are set yet. Too much variation with our game vs parkway. So many players that know each other and have played together for years. Result could go either way. And you are correct, lakeshore is less suited for your style of play then STM is. And FYI STM coach was at our game last Monday.

Plus Parkway could use a pick-me-up after we poopooed on their senior night.

Final regular season game for my daughter and Pipes, they’ve played together since they were like 8 years old. I heard you had a great game Friday.

Parkway is in an interesting spot. With Baton Rouge playing Destrehan and Thibodeaux being done, there could be significant movement between 13-15. Those three are .04 apart. If Parkway wins, they could move up to 13, lose they could drop to 15. Tie, who knows? Stay 14 and they wind up in Shreve's group of four.
Thoughts on Baton Rouge @ Destrehan?

I think it’s an interesting matchup us (BRHS) vs Destrehan. Destrehan has only played 12 games- the highest ranked being #15 Thibodaux (tie) and #18 Central Lafourche (loss). BRHS have lost to D1 #1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, and 11. We’ve turned around and tied #11 and #18. We beat #12, 16, and 24. We’re hoping our challenging schedule for the season will pay off for us this week.

With the matches set for tomorrow, 13-17 will be affected greatly. Destrehan got the gift of not playing a zero win team Friday that every other team in the district did. That game gets played and DHS is prob at or below #20. Oh well, can’t change it. Here’s my hesitant prediction. Parkway and Destrehan both win tomorrow: 13 DHS 14 Thib high 15 parkway 16 central LFR 17 fount 18 west Monroe 19 BR 20 Hahnville If they both lose: 13 Thib 14 CL 15 fount 16 west M 17 Park 18 DHS 19 BR 20 Hahnville BR won’t really get help from beating DHS with only 8 wins and a tie Hahnville is done, no points from anywhere else to help, where as Thib and CL can get a small bump from season opponents winning tomorrow

Dutchtown will be rooting for Baton Rouge. We are only .04 behind NorthShore.

Fontainebleau is done for the regular season but has 11 opponents scheduled to play tomorrow -- they were 5-3-3 against those teams. It will be interesting to see how much of a bump they get from those games, assuming they all get played.

Playing the mourning doves is a better draw than playing St Amant in the second round. But after that disposal- Dominican or Mt Carmel?? I have HAM communicated with 3Balz to see if the .04 is remotely possible. Lots of outlying variables are in play here....

And they do read this forum and are quite amused by the level of effort ya’ll adults put into this site. The day that dovesdad says there are zero starters out, be afraid Dutchboy, very afraid. And that day may be coming very soon. 3balz, how much SSA alumni money is it going to take for you to make sure Dtown stays at 8? I know Northshore sure as heck doesn’t want to face the angry doves again. Just like Dewey Cox, you don’t want no part of that.....

To be honest, I’d rather have the 9 but Northshore doesn’t throw games for seeding purposes.

Whoever, Wherever? That’s great to hear! So if Northshore ends up at 8, you’ll have no problem switching the SSA game from your shoebox of a field to a full-sized turf field, neutral site?

If Northshore earned the right to play at home why would we play somewhere else? To be clear... I would prefer #9 because of LHSAA's home away rules. Other than that it really doesn't matter. I hear that there a lot of teams hoping to be in our bracket.

Hark! Calmeth yourselves.. I do not come forth wearing a horned Buffalo suit with three triangles tatted on my chest to incite a riot. After all, we know what happens when you “mess with the flock”.....
I was only implying the mighty doves were in mourning secondary to having so many injuries. Really need to find a specialist to see about all those wounds and heal them up quickly for playoffs is a coming.
I should not have used the word “disposal”, simple three syllable words like that just may get me reported to my coach and labeled a “jerk”.
And we will have none of that....for I am a firm believer to the meaning of this quote that the mighty Griffin coach put out to his young warriors, “Sharing a quote I read in the paper today:
"Fortune, the great comandress of the world
Hath divers(e) ways to advance her followers
To some she gives honour without deserving
To other some, deserving without honour"
- George Chapman 1634
I will leave this with our hardened coach’s last words: PLAY HARD! Or don't play at all.

Ski: Dutchtown lost 1-2 to the doves when SSA had 4 legit starters out while the Griffins were at full strength. With dovesdad hiring the new healing specialist, gonna be even worse for ya’ll.
3balz: if you’d rather the 9 spot, we’ll trade it to you for the 8 spot and home field advantage. It’s a win-win.
