Division III 1)St. Martin(8).....80 (beat St Charles Catholic 3-1, beat Belle Chasse 5-2) 2)University.....67 (beat Woodlawn 6-0, beat Runnels via forfeit, beat Parkview 5-0) 3)Newman.....65 (beat Belle Chasse 5-0, lost to St. Martin's) 4)Teurlings.....49 (lost to ESA ?-?) 5)E.D. White.....48 (lost to Country Day 0-1, beat St. Charles 3-2) 5)Opelousas Catholic.....48 (beat Notre Dame 6-0, lost to St. Louis 5-4) Newman's loss to St. Martin's was before this poll came out. Thus, after 1/9/05 poll, there are only three teams (St. Martin's, University, and Newman) out of the top 6 which didn't lose. Looks like the top 3 is separating themselves out of the rest (?) I might also add that University beat a Top 10 contender (#12), Parkview 5-0, and a DI team with winning record, Woodlawn 6-0. Edit: Corrected for the error regarding St. Martin's record.

I don't know where everyone heard E.D. White beat St. Martin's, but that is most definitely false. St. Martin's played Belle Chasse today, not E.D. White. Those two teams played in November and I was told today that St. Martin's has not lost since that day, something like 15 in a row. So I don't know where E.D. White 3-2 over St. Martin's came from but it's not true. St. Martin's will be number one again in my poll tomorrow.

District 3 Teurlings 9-1 Opelousas Catholic 8-2 St Louis 8-2 that is the new shake-up in District 3. St. Louis beat OC (more like cheated OC) 5-4 today. The game was by far the worst referred game I have ever seen in my entire life. yes, i know your prolly saying, stop whining but you were either not at the game or a st. louis fan. I also lost total respect for St. Louis's program and coach. During the duration of the game, OC had three players go down, and instead of doing the Christian thing (being St. Louis is a Catholic school) and a respectable thing and kick the ball out for a lying down and not moving, their coach yells play on and they ended up getting a cheap goal. OC is more worried about their player lying on the field motionless and coach jason just smiles and says, "its an chance to score." Show some class b/c thats what he preached two years ago to OC players when we beat them 4-3 in OT. Now its our turn to tell you coach jason, SO SOME CLASS!!! Sounds like Deja Vu to me. I remember the ref's giving OC a goal in that OT win years ago. And by giving a goal, I don't mean a PK, I mean actually giving them a goal. So it looks like it's come back around to you. Deal with it. If a player goes down and there's a goal scoring opportunity, sorry but you don't stop the game for that, or kick the ball out of bounds. Maybe if nothing important was going on, then yeah, definitely kick the ball out of bounds. But you don't stop a drive for that. No disrespect to the players that were hurt at all, but that is just how the game is played. If you have a problem with that then I think you need to find a new sport to play.

I had the misinformation about who E.D. White had played. I spoke to someone from E.D.White and he said St. Martin's. He apparently misspoke.

St. Martin's did not play E.D. white again, but they play on wednesday. The score of the St. Martin's game with Belle chase is wrong also because St. Martin's won 5-2.

Was the player for OC seriously hurt or just a cramp? If a cramp...then I'd say u might play on but i wouldn't...If a player is seriously injured, then kick the ball out of bounds and be a man instead of going for cheap goals. Score from talent ..not from an injured opponent. HOW did the player get injured?

Score from talent ..not from an injured opponent. HOW did the player get injured? The seriousness of an injury should be the reason why you kick the ball out of bounds? That's rediculous. It's not a cheap goal at all. So you're saying if one team has a 1 on 1 with the goalie and someone on the opposing team trips over his own feet and happens to break his arm, then the team with the 1 on 1 should stop immediately and kick the ball out of bounds, because after all, it would be a "cheap goal."
