Predictions! This is a huge game for carencro. If they loose their playoff hopes are getting mighty slim. On the other hand can comeaux bounce back from a tough loss to lafayette. I think they can.
Comeaux 3 Carencro 1

I'm going to take Cro in this one. Cro-3 Com-2
Not because comeaux peaked early or playing bad. I think teams are starting to catch on to how they play. No I'm not going to tell you how to stop/slow them, because I respect them & hopefully your coach can recognize thier style set up a game plan.

If you can stop me blake and jacob, you win the game. Its not a secret crespo. Everyone knows that. I dont think cro has the personel to stop us tho unless we have an off night. Look for us to come out hard and try to make a statement.

I'm with you stud but i have a differn't opinion on how to stop you guys. Like it was said i won't say it because i respect yall and would hate to see yall start losing games. I don't think cro has much of a chance. They don't have the speed to play with como and they aren't playing good soccer right now. Their attack is very predictible and is fairly simple to defend against. I don't think comeaux is going to have problems here. Should be a good game for the spartans.

depends on if there is a strong wind or not. If not, Comeaux wins handily, if there is a strong wind this game may be close.
I think Comeaux takes it though.

Wow...now there's one I never heard before. What an insightfully keen observation. Is the "direction" of the wind a variable too... I'm learning more and more about soccer every day!

the winds stop/help longball... everything is factor in the game of soccer, just like everything is a factor in every sport... It affects the players body or ability, which slows down the game or speed it up... etc.

Opps, my bad. I thought all of the players were exposed to the same conditions. I guess both teams will defend the same goal in both halves...Sorry...
Interesting though, the only consideration that I ever gave to the issue of the wind was that I liked to have the wind at my back in the second half. Most coaches don't. My position focuses on the issue of fatigue if I have a well-conditioned squad...If it is a cross wind...a non-issue...
Wind is an issue for GK's. Driving the ball low into the wind and considering directional issues when considering placement in a cross wind...

Much harder to hit the accurate long ball off of goal kicks when the wind is against you. Once it is at your back, you do not even need to kick it hard, rather just get it up and let the updraft take it. Wow, never thought I would be using science in soccer.

Yes sir...The definition of work...the transfer of energy from one place to another. W = F X d...The metric unit of force is the Newton, named after old Isaac who figured out that all things fall down when an apple fell on his head. Didn't take much to get your name in the Science books back then. Great Science project to determine the amount of force you are generating at the point of contact with the ball...You'd need a few more equations, but it would be fun...

teams that play direct soccer (i.e. longball) get messed up when the wind is blowing fairly hard. C'mon lhssoccerfan, with all the knowledge you strut, you should have been able to figure that one out..... ;D

lol lets see
L - longball D - distance W - Wind
L - W < D < L + W
wet fields, wind, all plays apart if you rely on speed, rely on through balls ext. The weather can affect the manner in which the game is played i guess thats what that formula means... Still trying to figure it out myself... Science SUXS

Strut...Hmmm...let's see...Etymology: Middle English strouten, from Old English strutian to exert oneself; akin to Middle High German strozzen to be swollen. I guess I am a little overweight...

Wow 2 straight games giving up 5 goals. Teams must have found something to exploit against Comeaux.

Andrew Carrier was out last night (i dont think he'll be back for another week or so) and we had a had few injuries in the coarse of the game to Ryan Kincaid and Keye Viator. Kahn Viator also played with an injury last night that limited his play.
All 3 of these guys should be back and in full health for friday night. Thanks for the support. I know we can get the job done fri night regardless of who plays tho.
This is a post that soccerstud made in another thread.
