The Shreveport United 03g Blue team has been declared the Red River NPL south (Dallas) champion based on average points earned per game played (as not all games were played due to multiple rainouts) With that championship they have earned a place in the US Club Nationals in Commerce City Colorado July 16-20. This is the first north louisiana team to earn a spot in the nationals at any level or league. The team is not heavy on any one HS, but does have top players from Byrd, Loyola, capt Shreve, magnet, Parkway and Benton. It’s a fun group, we are hoping to get support from the rest of the state, as whenever one louisiana team succeeds it looks better on all of us.

You must be on the La Fire 05 red team, if we can come even slightly close to your success, we will be very happy.

Yea we lost 4-1, we were just a little off on our touches and they were a very solid team and very physical. A fair result would have been 3-2, as they were better today, but not 3 goals better. We had our fair share of chances, and everyone of their goals were solid, no soft goals. We go back at it tomorrow vs. Washington State GA team. We will work to even our record out and see what day 3 has to offer. This is a great experience that we will cherish forever

Not to steal the thunder… But I believe Shreveport United Blue won their game 2-1. One game at a time to the Championship.
Way to go BLUE!!

We just finish our hard fought game vs a tough East Washington Surf GA team. We went down 1-0 is the first half stoppage time after an evenly fought first half. In the second half we told most of the play. Tied it up on a 35 yard free kick from ULM signee Peyton Pipes Then a full on attack dropped the ball at Loyola upcoming senior Erin Campbell who slotted a left footed ball inside side netting for the 2-1 final.
All props the Surf’s #23 (McKenzie) Oregon State signee who was a one man wrecking crew through our midfield and without multiple diving saves by Centenary signee (yes self serving plug) Madison Ersoff we would not have kept the razor thin 2-1 lead.
After the game I spoke to Surg’s executive director. He told me we have some top notch players and gave me his card and said he’d help our kids find colleges to go to, if they don’t mind the NorthWest part of the country. It nice when other soccer people compliment our team.

The girls fought hard today for their last game at Nationals. They played the #3 U19 team in the country and ended on the wrong side of a 3-0 game. (Last goal was in the last 30 seconds when we were all pushed up trying to get a goal). Madison Ersoff (yes self serving) had at least 10 saves including her favorite footbsave. This team should win it all, as they were by far the best team we saw. What a great experience the girls will be able to cherish forever. (Ok us parents too)

You guys kicked the door down for other NW LA teams to follow thru.
