Could have sworn this score line would have received more traction/attention considering the USA women's 14-0 route of Thailand was highly admonished with heavy scorn and lectures of international sportsmanship. I suppose we are forgiven for what we did, but here are all the goals in their glory:
I got to goal 10 before I turned it off.

It did not get the attention, because it does not fit into the Anti-American narrative. We live in a time of Oikaphobia by people who like to call others xenophobic. Anti-American Americans are driving the media today so anything positive about American accomplishment in or outside of the sports world suppressed.

Eh, you may be reading a bit too much into all that. This wasn’t in a World Cup, for one. Second, and I only watched 30 seconds of it, but it didn’t seem like the England ladies were celebrating the later goals as much as the USWNT did. As I recall, that was the main issue at the time. I’ve enjoyed your USMNT write ups by the way and appreciate those contributions to the board.

Meh - agree to disagree. I know one of the main augments against the USA was they never slowed down: It was only 3-0 at half (I stress ONLY due to who they played against).
England was up 8-0 at half and scored another 12 goals in that game. This was also just days after beating Latvia 10-0 just 4 days prior.
Don't want to hear the people across the pond to talk about sportsmanship to the USA ever again is all.

These score lines seem to reflect a serious gap in talent in the women’s international game. The men’s World Cup expanding was a bad idea but the women’s World Cup expanding might be an even worse idea. If anything it might be better to reduce it from 24 to 20 or 16 teams
