If you have followed the USA as of late, you know that our problem is up top at the forward position. Sure, we have our best quality player in US history, but he has been injured up until late and not available. Then we had no one to play up top along him until Pepi came around and then he tailed off after rescuing team USA from qualifying disaster. Then, Weah took over for the absent Reyna, and the bulk of the USA attack seemed to be coming most from that top right side. Meanwhile, Aaronson seemed to plug in in the left spot, especially with Pulisic on the sideline. Well now it looks like we may be without Reyna and Weah for our next three qualifiers. www.espn.com/soccer/united-states-usa/story/4567256/usmnt-coach-gregg-berhalter-status-for-gio-reynatim-weah-for-world-cup-qualifiers-still-unclearPepi has now been picked up by Bundesliga side and got his first appearance in Germany and Pulisic has been regularly starting Chelsea’s last games so both should be fit and available for call up as well as Aaronson, but now that the right is open and constitutes where the USA likes to attack from, who is next up?

I think aaronson can fill that role just fine. I’ve really liked him throughout the qualifying campaign. Very solid. Who comes in for them though? Oh wait… KONRAD. Gregg calls him up so infrequently that I forget to be mad about it. Konrad for sure backs them up and maybe throw musah in there if they absolutely have to. Ideally pulisic is in the whole game so they’d only need one sub in a perfect world

Would Berhalter think Jordan Morris can work? We should see soon a roster for these next three important games. Hopefully, we got some eskimo nationals, because these next three games will probably be cold.

He's got a motor on him and a nose for goal. Would be great to see him be productive and make a national team comeback from his injury like he did in the MLS

Our chosen starters need to be in season form. Then we need an entirely new lineup to play Canada if we have learned what the last three games in a week taught us. Having guys out from the same position does not make things easier. Pulisic and McKennie are available and in season form. Pepi and Aaronsonn are available but coming off of long layoffs. Nice to see Pepi begin his Bundesliga career with a substitution, but that is not in season shape just yet. Aaronson plays on a team that takes a winter break. Here is a rundown of this past week’s Americans in Europe action. americansoccernow.com/articles/pepi-makes-augsburg-debut-while-adams-richards-mckennie-impresses

We forgot about our boy! Of course he will be our replacement starter for the right wing forward.
None other than: Paul Arriola.

Alphonso Davies out for all three of Canada’s next World Cup games including our away match, 2nd of three, coming up.
Dest is making headlines for being on his way out of Barcelona. He has not been playing, but I am sure he is training. He is a roster definite for Berhalter if available so I look to see him in camp soon and probably plays in the starting lineup.

Davies being out is huge. He’s the reason they scored at all in the first game. Not that I cheer for injuries or medical issues…. This whole debacle at Barca with Dest is really making me dislike Xavi. Dest is getting the Bale treatment from Barca as a scapegoat. It’s pathetic really. I hope he ends up going to Chelsea. #freedest

Really need the boys to do well in these upcoming WCQ. Would make a big difference between sweating it out come March or cruising into the World Cup.
Would love for Reyna to come back soon, but I will gladly take Davies out for Canada. He is legit an X Factor on the field for them because of how much he goes forward. Without him they are significantly less threatening.

Without him they are significantly less threatening. I would not discount Canada so easily. They are the only unbeaten team in the octagonal. They did well without Davies since the Gold Cup and are a lot better now since then as was apparent in their last game taking down Mexico at home. That same environment awaits team USA in that second of three qualifiers. It will not be easy. If we get three wins, we are still not automatically in, but I would breathe easier if that happened in March. Pulisic was an unused substitute today as Chelsea tied today. That is alright for he is still recovering from injury and working into game shape.

Josh Sargent just got another…he is on fire. This is a relegation battle in the premier and Sargent has just flipped things at the relegation spot and given life to his adopted city.

Pulisic was for the second straight game an unused substitute. He should be fit and ready for three straight matches in a week.

Make another thread about the roster so I can do my traditional rant about how berhalter lacks intelligence

Did they make a final roster? I see the camp roster, but not the roster for the game. I will make a new thread though. I just saw advertisement for the game on ESPN networks, which is something they should be doing more of.
