That will very much play to their advantage. Assuming both make it to the semis, Vandy best give 'em some love. After that, there will be no more "misunderestimating". ;D

When and if these two meet up I don't think you'll be seeing much love between the two. This game has developed into a rivalry game over the past few years and STM is looking for big time payback for the past few years.

Over the last few years, Vandebilt has shown that they are the class of Division II. Ben Franklin has been the only team to beat them in the playoffs, and it took OT for that. So as long as Vandebilt is playing, they are the favorites.

It took Vandy's coach to remove his best keeper in favor of a cold one off the bench to beat Vandy on PKs, not full time.
Vandy are the top of Division II ever since St. Pauls left for Division I. When St. Pauls was in, Vandy had problems topping them.

way back:
St. Paul then Woodlawn then STM then Vandebilt.
Now:
Vandebilt then BF/D-Town/STM depending on the year.
As of the last 5 or 6 years, Vandebilt has been the strongest overall team during that period of time. STM has been right behind them until last year when BF stepped it up. Dutchtown's program is only approximately 5 years old and now they have joined the mix. It depends on the year though. This year, I think Vandebilt is the best team in D2, but I like Dutchtown to win it all. Next year STM or BF may be the favorite. Who knows? THe only thing that I would be comfortable saying is that next year, STM, BF, Dutchtown, and Vandy will be in the top 5 of D2.

Usasoccerboy I play for d-town and it does seem that evey d-2 poll has d-town losing in the voting poll, but I will speak for my team and say that just b/c there are so many polls about d-2 does not mean we won't to have the ppl's vote and win every single one since we are losing in the poll we should stop voting in one and move to another to try and win. I was tinking the same thing about how many d-2 polls are there and, in just about every one has vandebilt in the lead. So we don't need to win a voting contest to say we are the better team.
