Now that we are down to the sweet sixteen, who are your picks in the 2nd round? Gets a little harder than the first round match-ups...

I thought I saw posted that Ruston beat Byrd?? No disrepect to the other teams, because at this level anything can happen, but the only game with the teams evenly matched would be Catholic BR/Mandeville. Catholic may be a slight favorite, but not by much. The next closest would be Brother Martin/Rummel. These are also the only regional games with ranked teams (#6 v #10 and #2 v #8) playing each other. If all the favorites win ( which probably will not happen) the next round will really be interesting.

Let me give it a shot (with an unimpressive record of 11-6)
Shreve +4 over WM St. Pauls +1 over CL Acadiana +3 over Terrebonne Jesuit +5 over Northshore Laffy +6 over Ruston Cath +2 over Mandy Caddo +4 over Easton BM +1 over Rummel
Putmeincoach -you forgot your disclaimer (subject to change)
ABSOLUTELY NOT SUBJECT TO CHANGE The following statement is intended to serve as the fine print: Goal prediction is based on +1 or -1

IF Coach 4365 is correct in his predictions, it would set up the quarterfinals to be the top 8 teams in the poll. Would make for some great quarterfinal games.

I have to go with St. Pauls b/c of records (overall and district and strength of district) but if you can play with BRHS, surely your team must be capable of pulling a win vs SPS. My predition stands SPS +1. Good luck!!!

Sorry Putmein:
SP has been playing lights out over the last 2 months. CL will be very lucky not to lose by 4 or 5 goals. Maybe more with the game @ SP. SP may be challenged a bit in Shreveport, but not against CL.

Well, I know CL played Lafayette before the season and it was 6-0. They then played again in the Sulphur tournament and it was 6-0 again. St. Paul is easily playing as well if not better and they are hot. I don' t think CL will stay close in this one.
