A parent asked me about this (I wasn't at the game, but I used to coach so she thought I might know...)
Player was already on a yellow card and when walking off said "You suck" to the ref and got a second yellow/red (no questions here - pretty straightforward)
Parent told me the ref was saying something about the player possibly being suspended from the next six games or something and was basically asking me if that's a thing
I wasn't aware of anything other than one game suspension for red card from fighting
We don't keep track of cards and then suspend players like they do in the pros, right?
Any insight would be appreciated thanks

School game? If it’s their first, they simply have to take the sportsmanship course. The penalties for red cards are listed in the handbook sections 5.11.6 (all red cards except fighting), 5.11.7 and 5.11.8 (fighting or coming off the bench to participate in a fight)
Club game? Not up to the referee at all
Cautions are not tracked in school but are in club - again, it’s not up to the referee to determine any consequence beyond the game involved
Send me a message if we need to talk specifics
