Listen fellas. I know some of yall don't share the "anybody anytime anywhere" philosophy. You don't want to travel, you're afraid it'll hurt your PR, you don't wanna get beat, whatever. Doesn't matter, that's not the point.
But when someone texts or calls or emails for a game, if you don't wanna play, just say no. It's easy. You don't have to be rude.
"No thanks" or "We're kind of in a rebuilding phase and I don't think it would be a good matchup" or whatever else you want to phrase it as.
But for goodness sake, respond.
Some of the same people who won't respond to you when you ask for a game are the very ones that want to invite you to their super awesome tournament. I'm sure your tournament is great, but where were you a month ago when I asked if you want to play?
And if someone travels to you one season, yes, it is understood that you should return the favor next year unless you have both agreed it was just a one year thing. It is very poor form to just ignore their calls/texts asking when you'd like to play next year.
Rant over.

I asked about some of the new teams we wanted to try and match up with…he said they were all a no go… I said really why not. He said well they didn’t really say no…: they just ignored my invite to play and didn’t respond. That means they don’t want to play u….lol
