Hi everyone. I was curious as to who you think has the most dominant program in LHSAA history. My current vote is St. Paul’s. You cannot beat them North Shore Boys!

I’m nowhere near a fan of this team but it is Jesuit easily. They have consistently won a state and never had big droughts.

Statewide, Jesuit, no doubt.
As to dominance in their region, I’m sure some smaller schools such as St. Louis have impressive resumes.
Catholic BR has lost district only 3 times in the 34 years of district soccer. In the BR area with immense talent and historic programs is really impressive. Jesuit had more statewide dominance but no Catholic soccer player has ever graduated with less than 3 district titles.

By region Jesuit - New Orleans St Paul’s - Northshore Catholic - Baton Rouge ?? - Lafayette St Louis - Lake Charles ?? - Shevreport ?? - Monroe Overall, Jesuit in the mid to late 00's, Lafayette high was the powerhouse of that region. Now the talent is pretty evenly split between them, Acadiana, Southside, and STM. Seems like an ever-revolving door of who's on top in the past decade for that region. Shreveport is the ever long debate as to if Caddo or Shreve are the better team. Caddo has a slight edge historically given their state championship runs in the late 00's. Byrd and Loyola are always fighting and putting up good results, but the playoff runs have helped Caddo and Shreve be a slight step ahead. Monroe is the same as to if it's Neville or West Monroe. The past decade has sided with Neville being the dominate program in the Monroe area. Ouachita is building up to be a major contender as well though as of recent years. Overall, I'd give Neville the nod for the northeast. Alexandria Senior high has been the most dominate program in the central louisiana area for well over 2 decades now, though Bolton was the powerhouse team in the 80-90s. Menard in the past 4-5 years has been slowly chipping away at the dominate title from ASH, but ASH's consistency at a higher division and head to head record overall (not just recent) has them ahead in my book.

I'd put Vandebilt Catholic in there somewhere.
They were very successful in 3 decades from 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s (and I'm sure will continue to be)
9 championships and 8 runner ups.

By region Jesuit - New Orleans St Paul’s - Northshore Catholic - Baton Rouge ?? - Lafayette St Louis - Lake Charles ?? - Shevreport ?? - Monroe Overall, Jesuit Recently would have to say St. Thomas More is the "dominant" school in the Lafayette area at the moment, given that they have 5 finals appearances and winning 4 of them since 2016. I'm going to make the case that St. Louis Catholic had the most dominant run in LHSAA Soccer history. From 1997-2017 (20 years), they made 14 State Finals, winning 13 of them. A 13-1 record in the finals in a 20 year period is an insane run.
