Talent can get you into the playoffs but a combination of talent and coaching will keep you there. Regarding the win/ loss column ask these questions, did you win or loose when something was on the line? Each year how far do you get into the playoffs with the number of your players that receive first or second team honors. (All District/All State).
Rate your staff and why.
1-F 2-D 3-C 4-B 5-A
I will agree that not all coaches can be judge by wins and losses. Being a positive role model plays a huge part in the development of the student/athlete. This thread however is dealing with winning.

Here's a few up north, since I personally know a lot of the coaches.

I'd say that's close to right, but I think Shreve should be at 4 and Airline should be at 3. For north only, yours would be right, but compared to some of the southern coaches Radi's the only guy that can compete and earn a 5 in my eyes.

I gave Shreve a 5 because they've gone quite far in the playoffs the past few years. In the past two years, they lost to the eventual state champion and then the eventual state finalist.

Shreve may have had the better record but there's no way you can say Radi's not the better coach.

STM----5
losses in beggining of year were not due to coach. It was due to lack of players because of football. 8 players were in football which made them ineligible for the first couple games of the season. Playoff loss. Also not coaches fault. Coaches have only been there for 2 years and the results were smiefinal lost 2 years ago to vanderbilt 2-1 and this years lost to ASH due to "calls that shouldnt have been made"

Please don't start the excuses again. Radi is by far the best coach up north. No doubt. But Shreve's coaches are doing very well also.

I agree Radi is an excellent coach it's just his team didnt perform as well as everyone thought they would. So everyone puts the blame on the coach.

I agree Radi is an excellent coach it's just his team didnt perform as well as everyone thought they would. So everyone puts the blame on the coach. Are you serious? Most people thought Magnet would be too small and too young. Plus, I think Shreve had more individual and raw talent than Magnet did. But as far as coaches go, throughout the highschools, Radi's pretty much hands down the best. Matt's a great coach, but I'd still put him at 4 at best. Remember there's a lot more coaches with a lot more experience and knowledge of the game, especially down south. We do have one great example of that type of coach up north and that's Radi. There's a few other coaches that I believe would warrant a 5 but they're not coaching high school.
