Um...How are you supposed to analyze something like "who was the most effective player in the 2006 playoffs" unless the season is already over? It's history, but there's no reason why you still can't speculate.

my team did make the playoffs. secondly, i'd say Garret Jackson from FHS ... carried team on his back all the way to finals. there ya go! and i click out of boredom. nothing against jackson or anything, but i think that he definitly wasnt the most effective player in the playoffs. And he didnt carry FHS on his back the whole way. FHS is all about the whole team's effort. The team as a whole just carried itself. And in my opinion, i think that towards the end of the year garrett became less effective than in the beginning of the year. He only had one goal in the playoffs and didnt really play up to his usual standards. But the rest of the team seemed to manage. The only times when he was the most effective on the field in the playoffs was when he threw the ball. I guess a lot of that sounded kindve harsh, but i think that garrett is a great player and a big time player on the team throughout the year, but he definitly wasnt the most effective player and he did not carry FHS on his back, the team did.

Very understandable. It was just my opinion. It's tough to say when you have goosh and oats on the same team with him. I just couldnt think of anyone else besides Jackson in my opinion.

I just couldnt think of anyone else besides Jackson in my opinion. yellkeeper you are entitled to an opinion, but you really should look at the big picture and THINK inside the box. Yes, I do mean inside the box. Look back at Jan. 24 FHS vs St. Paul, FHS Keeper Hovis, was returned to the starting Goalie position. His role was BIG, real BIG, in getting his team to the State Championship. His skill and confidence is impressive. Jackson is a good player and a really nice kid. But so is Chugden and a few others. Chugden is as tough as they come and an under rated player, "in my opinion". Taylor Hovis deserves a lot more credit than he is getting. Assuming you are a keeper, because of your user name, you should recognize a great keeper, unless you have a problem crediting another keeper for a job well done. No disrespect intended. It is very unfortunate when someone is overlooked for doing such an excellent job. Ho vis and his entire team pulled off the success they had this year. But, I wonder if Hovis was not a part of their success, it would have been a different result. You know the missing link! Jackson will me missed with his contributions to FHS soccer, but that V team will be just as good and successful. Looking forward to new and exciting High School soccer next year.

No, no .. don't get me wrong ... FHS has a great keeper. Did very well when we played them this year. Note: my opinion is clearly biased b/c i play with Jackson in club (as well as goosh and oats...)

Okay, I see where you are coming from! Get this....I heard today , Hovis was chosen for All-State 2nd team keeper. I spoke too soon about him not getting enough credit. Congrats to him!!
