Some (many) may question my decision to put Caddo as #2 but I feel they deserved it after their play in the St. Pauls tournament. Jesuit is without question the top team in Division I. Brother Martin hasn't been beaten yet but they haven't won many matches lately either. They haven't made it out of bracket in their last 2 tournaments. The #2 team should be able to do more to set themselves apart. Looks like #2 thru #12 in Division I are all pretty evenly matched. Has the makings of a wide open bracket in the state playoffs. Jesuit will be the favorite on their half and the other side should be wide open.

Caddo #2 over BM??? Look who they played in the St. Pauls Tournament. How can you say they deserved to be #2?
BRHS 5-2 win St. Pauls 4-3 win St. Charles 1-1 tie Vandebilt 3-2 in overtime
I would hope to be in the top 5 you can defeat these teams. Let Caddo play a few top 5 teams and see what happens. Can Caddo win or at least tie Lafayette, Carencro, Tuerlings, Fontainebleau and Newman? These were all tough ties for BM in the last 2 weeks. All top division teams. Maybe BM didn't break bracket in these 2 tournaments, but most definitely had very tough games. Also BM has not allowed more than 1 goal per game into the net. Can Caddo say that?

Caddo is putting up Ws when BM is putting up Ds... You simple have to win. Espeically more than 1 of the last 6... Then when they did win, it was over Hahnville which i think would lose to St. Charles

Caddo does not deserve a number 2 spot. They beat St. Paul's. Congradulations. St. Paul's had 3 starting seniors sitting on the bench. Including their star Frank Breeden and their Center Mid Matt Daniel.

I think that because Caddo lost 5-0 to Jesuit (and it could and should have been worse), Caddo cannot be taken seriously as a contender. Definitely a top 10 team right now, thanks to its run in the tournament, but certainly not a team that will challenge for the state championship.

Let's not forget Carencro got blown out by Lafayette in district play last year...

Technically, Carencro won that game, right?
Had Lafayette not been disqualified last year, there's little doubt in my mind that they'd have walked away with the title after beating Jesuit.

Definitely a top 10 team right now, thanks to its run in the tournament, but certainly not a team that will challenge for the state championship. The main 2 things that that game showed are 1) Jesuit is in a league of their own, and 2) a 28-man roster is much better to have than a 16-man roster on a 3-games-in-one-day slate at a high quality tournament. For those who are commenting based only on Caddo's game with Jesuit, I fully understand your comments, but that game in no way remotely indicates the character and ability of the Caddo team. All wish that that game could have been played on Saturday, but with the impending weather the tournament director made the only decision that he could.

Technically their season still counted, and the wins they got they kept. They just forfeited the game the "illegal coach" was at with prove. right?
