this dicussion has been going for the last 10 years or so....you can try all you wnat but it will never happen. Great idea, but you would need a LOT more ADMINISTRATIVE support.

i would of loved to play an All Star game which give players the opportunities to play other great players if they didnt get to play them in regular season. Up north they did do an All city game vs the coaches 2 years ago and that was quite fun, but didnt do it last year. I wish they would pick that back up this year but we will see.

why wouldn't they do it? how can you get some ADMINISTRATIVE support? insurance reasons mainly...plus all of the premier players who would most likely be the ones taking part in this game will be starting up and probably be away at tournaments. Its been discussed every year as far back as i can remember. LHSAA won't allow it and with out LHSAA, you won't get the bulk of the players to play anyways. However, I think it is an EXCELLENT idea and wish that it would happen some day in the future. I just don't see it happening anytime soon. You can dig up the old topics about all-star games and pretty much read the reasons why it will never happen.

Let's sum things up.
Louisiana is not going to have an all star game.
LSU and ULL and Southeastern are not going to start up Men's soccer.
LHSAA will continue the playoff brackets like years past.
Jesuit, Lafayette, Brother Martin and schools that are consistantly good have top notch players, that train hard. Thats why they are good.
Any other topics that consistantly come up?

There already is an all-star game. It is called select. A lot of teams participate. There is another one, called ODP. Nobody participates in it. What makes you think a regional all-star game would be any different?

NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN, they will never have an all-star game simply b/c their is no money to support it. They will make no money and will actually lose money if they had an all-star game. seriously, if we have to pay money to enter the playoffs, then how do you think we are going to have an all-star game?

I agree with all of the above, except the one about the main thread, an all-star game. 1. if you accept it will not happen, it will not happen. 2. Volleyball has one..........they have academic awards too.
