Wow, we have #3 and #5 playing each other, #4 and #6 playing each other... ALL IN THE FIRST ROUND. I have never seen anything like this in terms of first round games in all the years ive been watching high school soccer. These will be awesome games to watch.

yea but there will also be some not so good games... it really is a shame how soccer playoff brackets are picked its a shame that a 2 of the top 6 teams will definitely be out in the first round

I tell you what else is a shame. The fact that # 7 Acadiana is the hands down absolute favorite to make the finals. Not that i don't want them their because i am a big fan of acadiana and honestly i am a happy camper anytime a district 3 team makes it. And i know there are still some good teams in the bottom such as St. Pauls, Rummel, Shreve, and Catholic. I just hate to see such a mismatch in competition. Whoever does make it from the bottom is going to be in for a rude awakening once they get to the finals.

i agree that the bracket (as always) is lopsided. until lhsaa decides that soccer is an important sport and goes to a seeding system it will stay like this. i don't agree about the rude awakening. acadiana rummel catholic and st pauls know all about the top guys in the other braacket. they may have an easier road to the finals but they won't be scared of the team they meet. just like cro last year, right futbol!

Carencro beat Caddo Acadiana and Brother Martin, 3 top-ranked teams. I dont know about you, but i dont think Rummel, St. Pauls, and Catholic are up to par with those 3. Don't worry goatman, i am routing for Acadiana. I'm just not sure if they, or anyone else from the bottom bracket, are going to be as mentally perpared or determined as the team that comes from the top.

Not that it matters much but Carencro did not play Caddo this year, let alone won against them. They may play in the third round of the playoffs if both teams win their games.

futbol i hope the teams in the top half of the bracket are thinking like you. what in the world makes you think those teams are MORE mentally tough than the top four teams in the bottom bracket? remember acadiana has a far better tradition and history than cro!! those guys can and will be ready for the playoffs no matter who they play. just because cro has a title under their belt doesn't mean they will be better prepared than other teams. i do hope they are thinking that way if they do meet the rams because if they do they will surely get their backside kicked.

goatman i am trying to say whoever comes out the top will have to have had faced much more adversity. And i am not just talking bout Carencro. For example, in order for Caddo to make it to the finals they more than likely have to beat Lafayette, Carencro, and Jesuit. Now i don't what kind of soccer you are used to watching, but in my eyes a team that does that is going to be much more mentally tougher and determined than a team that beats dutchtown, rummel, and st pauls. I am not attacking Acadiana and i am not praising Carencro. Surely you have to agree with what i am saying.

if BM would make it, Fontainebleau, C. Lafourche, Jesuit, Carencro/Caddo/Lafayette.... that is probally the hardest road.

i mean the playoffs where Carencro made it to the finals while being the underdog 3 out of the 4 games. Yea we were lucky to draw Fountainebleau, but im pretty sure had Lafayette not been screwed off we would have still been playing in the finals.

futbol my point is this, last year the top half of the bracket was, like this year, loaded with most of the top teams in the state. and guess what happen, a team from carencro, (who was not ranked high), won the title. if ya'll did it what makes you think a team from the bottom bracket this year can't do it. i just don't buy into your arguement. sorry we will have to respectfully agree to disagree.
