#16 on st pauls is guy guinot and 17 is scott mayer. once st pauls got the 3-1 lead they had their defensive mid sit back a little more so yea they had 5 players back on defense at times

What was amazing in this game was a team effort on the part of St. Pauls, a team that struggled against top 10 teams all year and who appears to have put it together when it counts. I wish them luck going forward in the playoffs. Further, if we are talking about amazing individual play who was no. 16 who looked to have had a part of all three of the goals scored for St. Paul? That kid together with no. 7 who I think is Breeden and no. 17 seemed to have the Rummel defense on their heels most of the game. Agreed SPS struggled against top-ten teams this year, but of course past history don't matter right now! But take a look at the final high school rankings on another post today, and you will see that the highest ranked team they have played in the playoffs is Rummel at 14 (SPS was 22, Mandeville @39 and Destrehan @ 58). There are in fact no top ten teams in the bottom half of the D1 playoff bracket, and there are 5 in the top half. I doubt anyone at SPS feels guilty about that or care who is ranked where, it is just an interesting observation. Also agreed with your take on the game, SPS were the aggressors most of the game and the players you mentioned stood out in a strong win.
