There was still a pretty good turnout in shreveport. I'll have to say wasn't that great of a game until the last 10 mins of the 2nd half and both OT's Tuerlings missed many chances

It was inspiring to read in the Lake Charles American Press newspaper not only the coach but the St. Louis players talking about the mental part of playing. Obviously they got their "head game" on track to rebound this season, go on a winning steak, and now win ANOTHER state championship. The St. Louis coach said his primary purpose is not to coach soccer...but to teach CHARACTER that will make the boys good husbands and fathers...but such character also makes a good soccer TEAM. He even said (I paraphrase): If you come to St. Louis primarily to play soccer, you have come to the wrong place. The players talked about the discipline of playing mentally disciplined the ENTIRE game. Seems that their discipline for the ENTIRE game helped them prevail tonight. Sorry, kiddos, for this over-40 dad preaching about CHARACTER. www.americanpress.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=769&Itemid=96

i gotta say...or i gotta admit... i seriously thought teurlings would win...i think a lot of people did and good work st. louis for proving many people wrong. 6 state titles? is that record? I think it will be a while now when yall are serious underdogs. just my opinion

when i say st louis is a great team i mean they are very well coached, have talented players, and rich tradition. do not take your anger out on the boards it was a good game the shots didnt fall teurlings way. st louis was better tonight and they are the dynasty of Division III and it will stay that way until someone can prove otherwise.

Great job ShreveDad on the game updates. I thought both teams fought hard & match could have gone either way. Intense soccer game with good sportsmanship. Congratulations St. Louis! ShreveDad--Timemaker & I were trying to find you at the match--maybe we'll get to meet you at the games today.
