Disagreed. If a select program does not offer a certain age group (because of a few people quitting), then the players should try to move to another club...true, but what i there's not another club in the city, or one within a reasonable distance? If you want to stay on a club team, you get better, and play up. Or you sit out a season, play rec, and hope to make varsity come high-school season. I'd pick the first don't know about you. It seems te more dedicated players are willing to move up an age group, because it's not nessicarily age that counts, but skill. Any and everyone that has the ability should be allowed to play up, under certain circumstances. Otherwise, Id say play as close to your own age group as possible.
