Here's my vote that Mandeville should now be #10 in the top 10 with a 6-0 record. We want to move up one notch every week. ;D

I agree:
Jesuit #1... Mandeville #2... Acadiana #3.... Lafayette #4... Br. Martin #5
By the way MSH1 - that shows a lot of class complimenting wilson from CL the way you did in your other post. - IS Mandeville in the St.Paul's tournament ?, if so they will have a chance to move to #1 with a good showing there.

I would call Mandeville top 5 at best, I think number 2 would be a long shot, being that teams that were ranked higher last year have done just as well. Over the course of the year I can see Mandeville making it to possibly the top spot, but you have to play stronger teams than what you played in the tournament. Mandeville was the only ranked Division I team in the tournament. You were supposed to win. Right now, If the rankings were to come out, you would see Jesuit #1 because they won the Northside Tourney and are the defending champs. Acadiana and Lafayette would juggle 2 and 3 and Mandeville would probably be #4 and Bro. Martin would round out top 5. This is not a shot at Mandy, I just think that when the polls come out, this is how it will probably read based on last year's final rankings and what has happened this year.
As far as the St. Paul's tournament, what teams are going to be there, I know Jesuit, Bro. Martin, Lafayette, STM, Vandebilt, St. Louis, Carencro, and most of the top 10 teams will be at St. Louis. I hope Mandeville skips out on St. Paul's and comes to St. Louis tourney. Then they could be a contender for the top spot.
Anywho, Good Luck to Mandy this year. You should win your district and do well in the playoffs.

I'm serious when I say we should start out at # 10. We haven't seen St Pauls and Slidell in our district, and St Pauls had the early hyperbole, since we returned only 2 starters, and Slidell beat us twice with brilliant goalkeeper play from Slocum. I prefer the underdog role. We are in the St. Pauls tournament. To be the best, you've got to beat the best. That's what we want. We have a starting eleven who doesn't want to get beat, and we try to put 9 or 10 men behind the ball on defense. Our next eleven could beat several teams in our district that were at Piney Woods.

We are now ranked #5 and record is 7-0 with tonights 4-0 shutout over Fontainbluea. Two goals each half, but looked sluggish in first half from long layoff. Knocked it long every opportunity up the middle and Font keeper picked up easy balls. Passing much improved in the second half. MISSED another PK (made only 3 of 7 this year). Again, subs played major minutes. Steller defensive play and leadership continues from sweeper Andrew Kocken a senior. Only one player has gotten behind him (one time) all year. Another senior, fullback Garrett Zollinger is also a smart player and positions himself well. Marks the opposing teams best goal-scorer. Center mids and stopper tracking back to frustrate any hint of attack. Font had one superb free kick from 35 yards just whistle past the right part of the crossbar. Only 2 Mandeville yellows tonight. Zero goals given up this year from the field. Hammond next up on Tuesday. I'd say we should now be ranked #9 and try to move up one spot next week.
